I hate the confederate flag for a completely different set of reasons. And as I recall, it was the Republican lawmakers in South Carolina who voted to stop displaying the flag. But sure, don't let the facts get in the way of your argument.

The left portrays gays to be abused and ridiculed by the world because it betters their chance of pushing an agenda.

Did you ever stop to think that they are abused and ridiculed? You're from the South how many times have you heard of some good ol boys working a guy over just because he's gay.

Truth is, the amount of people that had a real problem with gays was minuscule.

Until you bring religion into the picture then a good chunk of the population has a problem with gays because they are told they should be against it.
