Let us not forget....

China and Russia dispatched fleet members to locate and shadow...

Seems as though "they knew" in the press, which I doubt because all of this would have been pure fat filled propaganda (for Russia esp.)...which is a slap in their face (got too used to Obama, Clinton & Clinton and GW)...
or they thought they could know and did not know...which is a great slight of hand by the US.

Trump said he would never broadcast his immediate moves or intents...so far, his word has been kept. Not only that, some (not all) of the world's best living generals are in the United States, collaborate with the US or are part of NATO and Trump openly has differed to the decisions of US generals for combat/readiness...he is getting the politicians out of conflict and ROE etal. Which the antagonistic 'world' has feared from the US for decades...

Bottom-line, China, Russia, N. Korea...no one called BS and said they are not there or coming.

That should tell you something...No?

Looks like the international community and our adversaries lost them....to doubt a Carrier Strike Force can go unaccounted for even a few clicks of the clock...get real folks.

No that's not my idea of being organized. And he won't have any better results with tax reform or trade deals.

It's rather funny how much leeway Trump supporters give their guy. Apparently he is unable to act like an idiot. He is a brilliant, up-front, patriotic hero!

Fact is someone screwed up. NK and SK both jumped all over it. NK is mocking our government for their "bluff," although I don't think it was a bluff.. it was a screw up. It's not just our media who is laughing at us. And I don't recall this sort of situation with any other President in recent memory. Because they actually consult their staff, their administration, the military, before making bold proclamations (or social media outbursts).

He said we were sending an armada to Korea. He touted how "strong" it was. And.. it went a different direction. 3500 miles from Korea is not sending an armada to Korea. The backpedaling by Spicer and Co. is hilarious to listen to.

I haven't supported any politician in many years. They're all liars who are out to screw us, no matter what party they are in or what they say.

But I've sat and watched the media screw up almost everything they've ever reported about military activity for years. The report was that they were sending the Vinson to Korea, and they are. They're heading there now. The media ran with "it's already there" and it was already on the way and screwed the pooch yet again.

Well to be fair, the way Trump said it.. and Spicer.. it was as if we specifically sending that "armada" that included "powerful subs" directly to NK. Which was not the case at all. He should have just said nothing.

Probably. But he doesn't deserve all the blame either. The media took it and ran without bothering to get clarification.

There really is nothing intrinsically wrong with what he said. Armada, or fleet, or three carrier battle groups, or only one...to keep a possible enemy guessing as to your intent or strength is good tactics, even brilliant if done correctly.

If that was indeed the intent.

That the media over reacted, however, isn't in dispute. It's very evident that they did. Not sure how the media not fact checking is the administrations fault as some herein are screaming?

Prime example of how stupid the media has become. This was from a CNN story about the US Marine photo sharing scandal.

Must be the media's fault.

Trump? Excuse, deflect, yada yada.

More like the media doesn't give two craps about accuracy. You can try to politicize this all you want, but I've spent most of my life watching the media screw up every story ever printed about the military. Including the one right above your post.

Or is Trump to blame for that too?

I guess it depends very much upon who you ask.

To some, it's very much a case of Trump/Obama/whoever is leading the media down the primrose path. Poor innocent media is being hornswoggled.

It was the intent of the president to scare people all Easter Sunday weekend. That is not his job.

No one is governing or protecting the American people from terror of nukes and ISIS and Chicago

Uh, the first two have almost no chance of happening to you, and the third one only affects a fraction of the US. People are brainwashed with this national security BS while rich people are robbing us blind, destroying the planet and taking away our rights.

If someone is governing then where is the budget before the government has to shut down. In like a week or so.

The US is falling apart and our enemies know that. I am going to start smoking again so maybe I won't live to see it destroyed with nukes. Before Reagan and conservatives and war, we had a good thing going. Mothers hold your babies.

Leftists, and particularly globalists, blame Trump for everything - it helps them live with the shock and pain they experience every morning when they wake up, induced by the events of November 8th and made worse by their constant losing.

Was it falling apart too in 2013 when the govt DID actually partially shut down due to the debate on the debt ceiling?

Not really.. just wondering why all of a sudden a decision to lift the debt ceiling, and the potential shut down, would mean the 'US is falling apart'. I would have thought you would be more encouraged that the last administration, which raised debt by $10trillion, is gone and there is now an opportunity to become more fiscally responsible.
