The creek by my house is beginning to overflow its banks, but we've got a few more days of sunshine so hopefully it will go down. We're not in any danger of flooding but I feel sorry for the farmers nearest the creek - lots of standing water in the fields on the prairie right now.

Aww, I hope for a reprieve for you all and that the creeks/rivers in your area recede. I heard on the news this morning that at least 20 people have been reported as dead or missing and there has been much crop lost (Arkansas specifically was mentioned) due to the flooding.

Well, there's no crop loss here, or loss of life, thank God - nothing happening on the same scale as Arkansas.
Heck, we had winter weather advisories and even a blizzard warning last weekend. Duluth was looking at 5" of snow on Tuesday morning, I think.

Most of the farmers here have not planted yet, and I'd guess 25-30% of them have not even plowed all their fields yet, so the excess water is not as damaging as it might be if it were later in the season or close to harvest.

Well, I'm starting to feel a little guilty about the weather....
Scotland is not known for its nice weather, but we've had a few days of Glorious sunshine this week.
VERY summery (if a little bit blowy) today.
If this keeps up... my usual pale blue skin tone will be positively white! (Or Lobster Red...)

Chirp, that flooding is so horrible especially with the loss of life.

I have to get dressed. Going out with my Sister, Aunt and a cousin or two. I didn't get much sleep so more coffee is a necessity and priority right now.

Just found out that my Brother is going with us. He lives on the first floor so he will be taking me. Strange for him to be off of work so early on a Friday, but nice. We live in the same house, different apartments and hardly ever see each other. LOL
