Commercials have been getting weirder and weirder.
Like this coffee-mate commercial:
Coffee-mate cancer commercial

The woman says something along the lines : How do I look. Her husband says okay. She says she wants to look good and takes off a wig to reveal shes bald. Then he says she looks beautiful.

I dont understand why Coffee mate is trying to bank off cancer, but what ever.

Makes no sense to 'use' cancer for coffee mate.

I'm more curious to why we don't call feminine men 'janegirls' or something like that.

Why don't you start that trend? Maybe they'll include that in the dictionary.

Nah, I'm more interested in terms to describe man-man and woman-woman unions (Ligandry, Lygeny) so we can leave Marriage as a man-woman union.

I'm betting they all weren't all from the country or a farm. Elaboration, Language, Context.

Sorry for not being clear. I thought it was implied that I meant SOME farmer girls (and of course some who aren't but still act like men and some drive big trucks).

Fascinating how the addition or omission of one word changes a sentence, huh?

Ok that one made me laugh hard. Thank goodness I didn't have beer in mouth. Gave you a star.

Then I'll bow out on a high note
Glad to make you smile. Good discussion.

We all fall in the trap of painting certain people with a broad brush, even if you never mean to sometimes.

Sad. But true! There are very few American "men" left.

Doctors require that they get counseling for I believe 2 years (I could be wrong). So it's not something they take lightly. It's the same for plastic surgery. So it's not like they all of sudden just decide they want surgery and doctors just went along with it.

Then how do they change young children like age 5? he has only been alive 5 years!

They don't "change" them. In fact they usually try to get psychiatrists to encourage them to accept their "true" gender. But anyway they can't give children surgery till 18 anyway.

You're wise? Educated?.. (Which is not the same thing). I'm sure,You'll figure it out, some day. Hold to your "standards". Or whatever you call standards. You may learn something in your lifetime.

Dove's commercial is a purely business decision, they want a monopoly on the 0.3% of the population that's transgender. There's no way that could possibly be offset by losing religious customers, I'm sure. Also it's cheaper than doing something drastic like producing soap that's healthier or pollutes less.

I have a Facebook account, and I'm pretty sure having the account cancelled is a reward, not a punishment. Just think about how much spare time he will have now. It's like getting fired without losing any money. LOL it's like being a kid suspended from school.

First off the transgender population size is nowhere as high as 0.3%, and they are more than welcome to it and I hope they get it, but it won't make a splash in the 5%-15%+ of the 99.7%+ of the rest of the population that they'll lose.

I'm so sick to the back teeth of having this politically correct crap forced down my throat by all and sundry that I've just been and got all of the dove products we have in the bathroom and flushed the lot down the toilet where it belongs.

Oh! The "Hippocratic oath"? Doctors oath? To uphold "standards"? To not essentially, mutilate a perfectly normal body? Ain't that where "psychologist" come into play? According to you. If a Medical Doctor is removing or adding to...they're changing something! I'm not sure of your grasp of language. But I'm sure of what you'd like it to mean.

You disagree with plastic surgery even if it's necessary for some people who are ugly or got disfigured after accidents?

Define "ugly". Is nature ugly to you? Do you grow into a man or woman then find yourself "ugly"? That would be a mental health issue and not very positive thinking. Now if you bumped your face on a 2×4? You may need medical help.

+1. It's called "social engineering". You add the engineering to it, it becomes "educated" and normal. .. Regardless of the historical science. Talk about "fake news".

Im beginning to think males are under attack. We are told in the media we need to act more feminine. Being a man is a bad thing because we are sexists. Even doing things like holding a door open for a woman is now a bad thing. We are told we are pigs and trying to suppress women. Hardly the case me personally id rather hang out with women im a big fan. But seems there is an effort to emasculate males today. We arent women we dont think the same way and guess what thats ok. As a guy we can say a woman doesnt have male parts. Dont think women realize just how gross this is to most males. Its not being homophobic its just disgusting to us. But for the most part leave us out of this and we dont care you can live anyway you choose. But stop trying to gain approval for something most males almost vomit over.

Again, you seem to have a problem with language. I never said that, so it may be a comprehension/understanding issue with you. I'll just chalk it up to you,.. being "educated/beinging told what to think and not really "educated/learned". Plastic surgery is to fix what has been broken. Not to "replace" what is not, (Hippocratic Oath). But apparently standards can be bought and sold. ..That being said, you never defined "ugly".

You have been listening to feminazis too much. Relax.
Even though I can understand about the door opening. It sends them a message that they are too weak. Some women just don't like chivalry. Some women just want to be treated as equals.
I still open doors for women myself with no problem. If a woman got a problem with it I'll just walk away no problem.

Actresses have plastic surgeries all the time. Got problem with that? Some ugly women (even though it's "natural") want plastic surgery. Got problem with that?
Simple question.

I just quoted what they said

Some may think that's too young to make such a change, but many doctors who specialize in working with transgender children believe it's right for certain kids — those who show a rock-solid and enduring belief in their gender identity.
