Those on ATS which you claim are losing there minds are merely discussing what could happen if Russia or US fly off the handle and launch nukes as a response to any aggression by the other side. We find this a perfectly sane issue to discuss as most of us have our minds completely together without assuming others are losing there minds for not thinking like us.

Being sensational and jumping to rash conclusions is a common phenomenon amongst conspiracy theorists. What fun is there if the situation doesn't escalate? There's a kind of excitable anticipation to the idea of your worst fears coming true.

The discussions include we are all gonna die impeach Trump right NOW. There is nothing sane about it. You have to accept the fact that you,me and probably everyone on ATS are good as dead if sh!t hits the fan. It's not like you could continue any thread about the fear of WW3 if it happens in our lifetime. Spoiler it won't. All i see is useless fear mongering and doom porn. Besides arent most of us already convinced that aliens live on our planet and that they have no interest in losing their slaves i mean work force?

The smartest thing anyone has said in the last few days is a Moderator here by the name of "TheRedneck"

How is it smart to throw around baseless opinions ?

No disrespect to Redneck but his opinion (and that's all it is) is based on nothing but what the lying propagating media has told us.

Since when was it smart to assume without any evidence, let alone trust the official media story ?

Doesn't sound smart to me, sounds like the same line of thinking that decided to waste $59million worth of tomahawks on an airfield in the middle of a war zone

It's the same type of "smart" that writes a list of what's good for killing people and what's bad for killing people

Good for killing
Bullets
Bombs
Nukes

Bad for killing
Chemicals
Biological weapons
Torture
Fire (fire by bombing is okay though)

Pretty f*cked up if you ask me

It's not an opinion, it's a fact that he gave his opinion

We don't know "nuthin'

Is probably the smartest thing anybody has said on this whole issue, because it's the only truth and you said it in your OP (not counting that it's a contradiction to the core of your thread)

Elvis is dead, dammit. DEAD!

Let it go buddy. Let it go.

I was just messing around. The comment out of the blue goes with the OP title. It was just Elvis clickbate humor.

I'm not hung up on it. Honest.

It's sometimes fun to have little side distractions every now and again as a pattern interrupt and for comic relief.

moving on.. Trump Syria North Korea Russia blah blah blah

Nice rant.

I disagree with the moderators bit on Syria "because he (assad) thought he could get away with it"
Syria have far more to lose and it's more likely Russia (who the UK have claimed are responsible), Israel or a US Proxy.
There's just so much to lose for Assad and he is winning his war without chemical weapons.

I know a lot of people hate doom mongering but to add a little reality, it was only 70 odd years ago Germans were throwing Jews into an Oven, not muslims, not Bhuddist monks or even Syrians, it was Germans.
We as a species have not evolved in that time and could quite easily all go to s**t once again very quickly.

It was not my intention to claim that everyone discussing WW3 were sane. I only said "most of us have our minds completely together". We are all going to die when the day comes. It's just that I don't care for it to be credited to Trump or Putin or any other world leader. Per aliens living on our planet, that is pure speculation that they have a use for us and don't want to lose several millions of us.

If something does happen then so be it. Life is going to go on. Man has been living and dying by the sword for thousands of years. Nothing changes if nothing changes. I just want a good seat and some cheese popcorn.

I don't agree at all with Trump's pre-emptive and premature attack at all. Especilly considering that rebels have been found in Aleppo with Saudi chlorine, and were caught in Turkey also testing out chemical agents a few years back.

What shocks me is how people rule out and ignore culpability of the very barbaric terrorists who were actually killing and murdering civilians and captured soldiers in mass graves (seen it), cannibalizing (seen it), exploding heads with shotguns and rifles in videos(seen it), tying people to poles and detonating them with explosives(seen it), tying people to poles and shooting them with RPG's (seen it), crucifying people (seen it), beheading children (seen it), killing families in front of their begging and pleading family (seen it), enlisting children to execute captured soldiers and civilians (seen it), burning people live (seen it), tying det chord around the necks and bodies of captured soldiers in a line and exploding them (seen it).

Who is more likely to commit atrocities against civilians; the foreign terrorists who have proven with atrocities against civilians that the well being and safety of the Syrian people is not even a passing thought and losing more territory by the day, or the government who is fighting the foreign terrorists who commit these atrocities, are liberating more communities by the day on the eve of peace talks??

And if someone really honestly believes the answer is "because he thought he could get away with it" , then really one must admit that the government pulled off 9/11 because, you know "they thought they could get away with it" . Same, exact #ING reasoning right there.

Either way, I still support Trump, I still got his back. He did what he needed to do to make sure they don't kill him off before the first year is even over! It hardly had any effect on the ongoing liberation by the government and their allies.

This was a test by Assad and moreso his handlers in the Kremlin to test Trump's meddle . Trump passed and now they will saber-rattle for a while and fall silent. Just like anywhere else in any other time.

Obama would have drew another red line. And promoted his propaganda of already having removed all chemical weapons from Syria. Another Epic Fail from a President.

I am just taking a wild guess that people who
are all "up in arms" against the missile strike
also may not even be aware of how many
people in Syria were killed on Obama's watch.

April 2013: The Obama administration promises
to double non-lethal aid to rebels, specifically to $250 million.
June 2013 lethal aid is added. Staggering casualties.

I cant find a specific number of causalities, but it surely
must be several thousand people, also involved the
CIA ops there.

Why were people not freaking out then?

smh

On 13 June 2013, U.S. government officials said the administration, after days of high-level meetings, had approved providing lethal arms to the Supreme Military Council (SMC).[98] The SMC is a rebel command structure that includes representatives from most major rebel groups, and excludes the Islamic extremist elements.[99] The decision was made shortly after the administration concluded that the Assad government had used chemical weapons on opposition forces, thus crossing the "red line" declared by Obama earlier in 2012.[100] The arms to be provided included small arms and ammunition, and possibly anti-tank weapons.[101] However, they were not to include anti-aircraft weapons, something repeatedly requested by the armed opposition.[101] Further such weapons would be supplied by the US "on our own timeline".[102]

In mid-June 2013, the U.S. government said it would now arm rebels in Syria; besides, the U.S- was considering a no-fly zone in Syria′s southern border with Jordan, which would allow a safe place to equip and train rebels.[103]

It's quite simple; it wasn't Trump.

Product of demonization.

A demon can't do any good/can only do wrong.

I think that is exactly what is going on here.

The strike falls under the NDAA, which powers were greatly
expanded under Obama. Bush implemented the Patriot Act.

Sigh, this is nothing new.

But....Trump!!!
