Old Metallica all the way,
Kill em All, Ride the Lightening, Justice for All,
the black album was...... okay for like semi pop rock but the thrash/heavy headbanging days of Kill, Ride and Justice were when Metallica SLAYED.
Their newest album, I can kinda stand behind. Has a great feel of the 80's Metallica and that's what Metallica is all about.
I heard say and had said myself that they were just getting old, hence the crapfest of Black album onward, but this new album put that idea to rest.
They still have it. So wtf was the stuff from BLack album onward? Did they have a rest from the slaying slaughter speed riff, double bass pounding
head banging sweat inducing days of old? If so, it paid off with the newest album.
I do wish Cliff would have survived though. I wonder where the band would have gone, then? Or if Mustaine had stayed instead of starting Megadeth.
Amazing how many different paths life can take. Anyway, long live old Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer, Corrosion of Conformity, Anthrax, Method of
Destruction, Sepultura, etc etc etc.
