A futuristic video has emerged of a man flying on a hoverboard across the Atlantic Ocean.

The video shows Franky Zapata, chief executive of Zapata Racing, whizzing over the sea off the coast of France on a hoverboard that is available for the public to hire.

Military had something similiar at one time. And this isnt a "true hoverboard" A true hoverboard does not rely on anything but the anti gravity /repelling magnets for lift.

Holy cow that might be the coolest thing I've ever seen. I think I may have finally found the the thing I will eventually break my neck on....Oh what a way to go out though. If that article is correct it says this thing can fly as high as 10,000 feet and go 92 mph.

It's like the Green Goblin from Spiderman!!

When can I buy one of these?!?!

I dunno about this one, but this tech isn't fake.

I tried to find the last one I saw, which was similar, but it was actually made illegal due to safety last in france or somewhere that it was worked on.

I'll keep looking, but they have this tech now, and it's not actually out of our hands, it's not that difficult. Just not practical. Short flight span due to fuel consumption/battery life, and you are gonna die if you use on over dry land. hence most of them are over water.... splishy splashy.. not ouchy crashy.

Its why the US army decided to scrap it as well back in the 50s it was too unstable and fuel was a issue. not to mention turning the soldier into hamburger sometimes.

Fake.

Doesn't matter how many media outlets report it as being true, it's fake.

Novel use of a 100 year old technology.

Neat, yet unimpressive.

I've seen it reported on several main stream media outlets.

I find it sad that people will believe this.

This product is so badass, it requires the power of two memes to get the point across.

Truly #ing epic, whether we can call it a technical hover-board or not. Bro he is flying around on some like iron man jet pack skateboard type of way!

You're right about that. The flyboard air will fly no doubt about that (it's a pretty decent drone). But with a man on it well that's a different story. I've seen several vids am pretty decent in CGI and know enough that they are fake.

The flyboard in the clip is real the man on it is camera tracking. Also I had no succes in renting a flyboard nor getting a conversation with mr Zappata nor any indication of the price (have to ask onspot in Dubai fishy???)

Although the story goes like , well you have to have 100 fly hours with a regular drone by our making... and then maybe you may buy it... ??? sounds like advertising scam to me. Too bad because I really want to believe that this is possible yet (I will sell my car and boat for this!!!).... I just have zero proof and a lot of CGI's right now...

And to all those how still say it isn't cgi look at this clip that is done by an amateur with cam tracking.. and an open source software.

Well well ??? where are the skeptics in this thread. Whenever there is a ufo sighting it's getting dedunked. This thingy Is backed up by mainstream science and not a single skeptic in debunk mode here ? Look guys , I did some investigating and there is no evidence at all that this thingy is real... Wierd that's it's kind of easy to convince people and even MSM that something is true if it's a sci-fi gadget...

I think it's very plausible. It's just s Segway with rockets. The only question is if the thrust is capable of carrying a person. It looks pretty close in my estimation.

Maybe the video is fake, but the concept is not hard to achieve.
