LOL! The footage of the Evil Emperor from the Star Wars series can't be a coincidence. This was shot on Air Force One, so it was totally under the control of the White House staff. What is the subliminal message? What is the mind game?

The following is my opinion as a member participating in this discussion.

Have you reas the book The Devil's Alliance Hitler Pact with Stalin 1939 -1941? If you haven't I highly recommend the book to anyone who has a interest in Putin's invasion of the Ukraine. Western political are dumb enough to have been played by Putin. I am no longer astonished by the current turn of events which are determining our time.

Staying with the Ukraine for a moment, Putin has been testing the Trump Presidency from day one. Notice, once the outcome of the US Presidential Election was known , the Russians resumed offensive military action in the Ukraine. Was the most recent use of Chemical Weapons in Syria another test for the Trump admin? Assad miscalculated, thinking Trump would continue the policy known as Appeasement, and he went ahead with a War Crime.

Trump like Obama before him has discovered how many light years easier winning the election was compared to governing. I do think Secretary of Defence Mattis and National Security Advisor General McMaster have issued Trump with much needed reality checks. Trump, having received a medication called reality, is now taking a more nuanced approach to foreign policy.

As an ATS Staff Member, I will not moderate in threads such as this where I have participated as a member.

We should impeach Trump for Star Wars copyright infringement.

Trump has no choice but to call their bluff. This is why Obama talked but didn't act.

No what?

No evidence?

Ok then all we both have is theorys which means a investigation needs to be done, facts and evidence established then judgment passed.

The evidence has already been submitted. It's all around you. I gave you plenty of facts to point you in the right direction to find the story for yourself, like I did. You chose to ignore them. Fine; that's your prerogative.

Mine is to shut up.

So no. No more information. No more debate. Trump is not going to stage a sit-down meeting with crazyewok to disseminate information that goes back to the beginning of the 20th century. This rabbit hole is so deep that attempts to make a thread on it have been difficult to get into 5 or 6 OPs. There's no possible way to get it in another thread.

No. You don't get what others have researched handed to you on a silver platter when you would just ignore it.

It doesn't matter how we got here nor how much of what we believe to be true is really true. All that matters is that President Trump has made a decisive act that is about to have consequences. We can only hope that those who put their trust in him were not deceived. It is clear where I stand on the matter, but I hope to be proven wrong.

The Levant is not the turf the United States should be fighting for.

Syria just lost 23 warplanes to this latest attack.

How many more does Assad have left?

Fox News says administration officials "leaked" that number. It is presumably inflated.

I am not ignoring anything! No goddam evidence or facts have been submitted to me just opinion pieces from you!

And I don’t have the right to have the information handed to me? God dam right I have the right! I elect these bastard politicians! I pay them and they work for ME. If the UK government if going to support military action I dam well demand to know the evidence why. I don’t want my tax money of my nations support going on a military conflict I have no hard facts ons.

I want accountability of my government. If that is wrong or is to much to ask, so be bloody it.

I don't know if Russia expects Assad to be in power much longer. They probably will be hesitant about about signing any long-term business deals with him.

No, I haven't, but I may try to now. I can't dismiss the possibilities the book alludes to.

Russia has not really changed since the days of the C'zars. Russians have always had a "me first" attitude, willing to look away from the suffering of others when doing otherwise would jeopardize their interests. But they are also fiercely protective of their own. The moniker "Mother Russia" is more than just words to them; it is a statement of allegiance that is, rather than repeated as a matter of rote, ingrained into the very language. Western Ukraine is their people.

Of course Putin has been testing Trump. So has Assad, and it is completely plausible IMO that this attack served a dual purpose in that respect. Since Trump was an outsider and openly admitted ignorance of the US goals on multiple occasions, it is only logical to assume he would not take a similar stance based on completing those goals. That's a large part of why the Republican establishment was at one point so dead-set against him. The problem with that logic is that Trump is now well aware of the underlying goals and their importance. If anything, he probably understands their importance more than his predecessors.

And I'm sure Mad Dog and McMaster had a lot to do with opening his eyes.

I'm hoping that deeper understanding will give him the ability to put an end to the constant struggles in the region. Maybe it can; maybe it can't. But even if it can, it will take a lot of time to adjust course. We've been on this heading for over a century.
