Lastly, watch the new news about the Syrian gas thing--that can be real trouble. The deep state is all over that; trying to get Trump to go after Assad.

On this issue Trump is on the money but did you hear McCain get on him over that, then we had the Syrian gas incident...Coincidence?

I hadn't given it much thought until you pointed that out just now. It's totally in the CIA's playbook, so I wouldn't put it past them.

Chomsky hit the nail on the head.

While it is reasonable to investigate the potential connections with Trump's team and Russian influence, the Left/Democrats are focusing too much on that issue and have missed other issues/policies coming from the Trump admin that they would otherwise focus on.

Yeah, like the money funnel from Frannie and Freddy to the treasury to fund obamacare shortfalls and the 11,000 executive privilegely sealed doco's about it, that would give a truer picture of what it all costs.

Oh wait, that's not a Trump issue.

Actually he's a Libertarian Socialist which I happen to identify as too.

I haven't logged into ATS to post for quite a long time, but after reading this statement I just could not help myself.

There is no such thing as a "Libertarian Socialist". The two words are wholly contradictory to each other and claiming to be such is simply laughable.

Furthermore, Chomsky has inferred many times that, from an ideological standpoint, he is libertarian; and this is merely because he cannot stand behind the hypocrisy of the state.

Chomsky is, first and foremost, a linguist- and it is through the application of linguistic dialectics, a type of logical discourse analysis, that Chomsky gains his political insight from.

What Chomsky does is compare the reality of political policy to the rhetoric used to justify it by the politicians. For some phenomenal reason, most people are not capable of doing this themselves.

I'm sorry but you're wrong. Chomsky identifies himself repeatedly over the years as a Libertarian Socialist.
