A very strong and utterly correct assessment, indeed a brilliant reply I agree absolutely with and you make point's I would have missed that are well founded and totally relevant, it is not fair and indeed not only should the African American's and other slaves in the US such as indigenous peoples whom had also been enslaved have been freed but they should rightly have been recompensed to make up for that loss, the slave owners should have been put out on there back side's and all they owned sold off or partitioned to there victim's (indeed most of those slave owners especially those that worked there fellow human being's to death should have been hung but that is another matter).

You are correct also ALL tribes, Nation's and People's have kept slaves over the years,. All are human being's and modern genetic's proves that, there is no difference we are one single species not several different races (a nasty quirk of our self image is how we reflect that upon other's that look like us while seeing those with notable differences such as skin tone as alien when in fact we often have more in common as a person with that person of the other colour than we do with the one that may look like us but is not like us), it would have probably taken a couple more hundred thousand years of total isolation for those nation's to actually become different races and even then they may have remained compatible but the sciences as they were wrongly called that made out that other races were somehow different were actually pseudo sciences based on head shape, the bump's on your skull etc.

And sadly all nation's of mankind are capable of being racist to people not only of different colour but also people of different region's even within there own nation's, it is the bad side of Tribalism/Gangism that is a part of all human's more primitive and less moral core.

You make a good observation. Namely that theirs and absence of grey in between the white and black. Black might stand for wickedness ("evil) and white might stand for God. So where their is white their is god and where their is black their is the opposite. Godlessness. If you read The bible you will see that their are many references to light and god. That is what makes the bible our holy book upon which we base our society and its cultures.

Silly...semitic people are lightly tanned, definitely not white - or haven't you looked past Michaelangelo's Sistine Chapel?

The term my mother uses for her skin is Olive skinned, or Mediterranean complexion, the semitic people's came from a region that has always been a cross road of humanity and were the nation's of man merged.

You know that might be the end of racism right there ...

As Americans we have moved the white people goal post to now include anyone who is not black.. and even with black people, people often say... Tyrone is the whitest guy I know...

What is considered white today barely has anything to do with genetics..

Well technically Johnny Cash wore black as a symbol of rebellion and to paint himself as a badass. Not exactly a good example to prove the point you are making.

I wonder if it doesn't have to do with black skin being an advantage??

Dark skin means no skin cancer and gives the ability to better hide from predators..

What benifit does lite skin have?? Better vitamin E consumption???

Be careful here , the color symbolism as I said earlier is not universal or can be applied to any group of people at all times , it maybe culture specific and then even that is subject to change within the same culture, I doubt ancient people thought in such scientific terms as vitamin intake, however an albino in Africa depending on the culture can be seen as a child of the moon, or a harbinger of bad things.

Yes if you are using the Abrahamic religions as a cultural prism, but even then they tried to reconcile the Black vs White dynamic when it came to people, this is especially true for Christianity and Islam depending on what passage you maybe reading from, however such dynamics maybe viewed differently with other cultures. ancient Egypt.
Kem The ancient Egyptian word for Black anything.
Sa Kem - "Black man", a god, and son of
Sa.t Kem.t - "Black woman", a goddess
kem (papyrus) - to end, complete
kem.t (papyrus) - the end, completion (kam.ah)
kemi - finished products
kem khet (stick) - jet black
...
kemwer - any Egyptian person, place or thing ('to be black' + 'to be great')

Kemwer - "The Great Black" - a title of Osiris - the Ancestor of the race

Kemwer (body of water) - "the Great Black sea" - the Red sea
Kemwer (body of water + river bank) - a lake in the Duat (the OtherWorld)
Kemwer Nteri - "the sacred great Black bulls"
kemwer (fortress) - a fort or town
Kemwer (water) - the god of the great Black lake

Kem Amut - a black animal goddess
Kemi.t-Weri.t - "the great Black woman", a goddess
Kem-Neb-Mesen.t - a lion god
Kem ho - "black face", a title of the crocodile Rerek
kem; kemu (shield) - buckler, shield
kem (wood) - black wood
kem.t (stone) - black stone or powder
kem.tt (plant) - a plant
kemu (seed) - seeds or fruit of the kem plant
kemti - "black image", sacred image or statue

Using the causative "S"

S_kemi - white haired, grey-headed man (ie, to have lost blackness)
S_kemkem - to destroy, overthrow, annihilate.

Deshret - the opposite of Kemet.

deshr.t - any red (ie, non-Black) person, place, or thing
...
deshr.t (woman) - "the Red woman"; ie, 'evil woman'
deshr.t (cow) - "a Red cow" - ie, the 'devil's cow'
deshr - a red one (m)
deshr.t - a red one (f)
deshru - red ones (m)
deshru.t - red ones (f) -- White or light-skinned people; devils
deshreti - two red ones.

Recall what I said about Set's symbolic color on the other pg.

Yeah Olive skinned, like my Mediterranean background, I just have a problem when someone mentions the bible and leaves the impression that it was filled with blond blue eyed actors/characters.

So is the common colour of the Black Burqa making a statement to their patriarchical husbands?
Who would have figured?

"We are the badass Muslim Women who pull the strings here in Iran"

On where we disagree, let me know where I took a wrong turn, it helps in growth of knowledge.

Yes your mother I'm sure is a very beautiful olive lady and I wonder if maybe she and I met in a different lifetime. The term I prefer is Of Mediterranean Descent. The mediterranean region is known for its sun and temperate climates. It is bordered by many different countries all full of diversity and bounty.

Huh? I was talking about Johnny Cash specifically and the reason HE wore black. Why are you bringing up Muslims?

Backwards world. Franklin deemed the vitreous positive. (and his shills say its the same signal as the resinous, and that numbers (counting) is tangible)

Black absorbs (contains) all spectrum of light. White reflects (rejects) all spectrum of light.

Life is created in darkness, and observed in light. You can not serve 2 masters.

Actually I would say we all serve ATLEAST 2 masters and it is all shades of grey with little or no real black and white..

Metaforically..
