He's the best, and can build anything you want cheaper than most. He's got a website that breaks down all the machining and options.

nice on the fxr. im still toying with the idea of a shovel. always wanted one. i found a 79 but im just not sure yet

Well, you've already got the bones. Does she want that thing rusting in the barn forever? Seems like you're half way there. I think you MUST do it--to prevent any more deterioration and loss of value, I mean, if you catch my drift.

Don't tempt me. I decided several decades ago that I was cool enough but not smart enough to ride anything with only two wheels and an engine. It took some hard lessons to get that drilled into my skull. That knowledge, I believe, is why I'm still alive.

Seems that the ones who wreck are the young and the old.
Knowing that, there are those who, for better or worse, depend on me, I have sold my last bike a few years ago.
The Wrangler helped a bit, until I drove it from a 100 foot cliff.
Now, me and Boopsie travel in the relative luxury of my fully enclosed, fairly comfortable Cherokee Classic.

I often am reminded, nostalgically, of the bug juice that I regularly ingested, and the wind to wash it down!

Good call.
I'll bring that up with her shortly , after I rebuild the front differential in the Oshkosh 6x6 she didn't want me to buy.... But wood season is right around the corner so if it's back up for logging, that theoretically frees up room for another project.
And we sure don't need to waste money....

I have a 2012 Heritage,been a great bike.My wife and I rode from East Tenn to Yellowstone on our honeymoon,riding through the Rockies was one of the best times of my life.Riding may be risky,but it`s rewarding and cruising through the mountains is good for your soul.Think it`s about time to go take a ride down the Dragon or maybe the Blue Ridge soon.Wish I had time and money to go back out west,but that's for another year.

I'm gonna hit the Dragon this next week! After we pick up Scarlett Rose at the museum will head East to see some friends near Knoxville before we head to Mississippi, the the long slog back to Seattle. Never done it and looking forward to it.

Weathers getting better in the UK now so I've been out a fair bit over the past 2 weeks. I had a VFR800 until October last year but then sold up to pay stuff off. Then it got to Feb and I couldn't do without one so went and got a CB1000R :



Awesome bike. Before the VFR I had an older version, before that a ZX6R, and way back an NSR.

Best of the bunch was the ZX - but my CB is giving it a run for it's money and is fast becoming my favourite!

Someone mentioned the UK roads - thankfully I don't have that problem as I'm not far from the Lincolnshire wolds, and the Cotswolds are only a couple of hours away too with some great roads down there. Speed cameras are a pain, but most near me are generally on village roads etc - and not on the faster twisty 60 roads

How do you feel, if you can put it into words, when you make eye contact with neighboring
cruise missile pilots, only to see they are focused on the toy with the tiny screen on their lap, knees on the steering wheel, and hands busy texting?

I've been wanting a bike for a couple of years now. I think I've finally reached the age where I could drive one responsibly (60). I want a cruiser but I don't want a Harley. Nothing against them but that seems to be what everyone gets. I had my eye on a Victory Hammer S last year. I delayed and now Victory is getting shut down. There is a 2017 Hammer S but I prefer the 2016 colors. Alternatively, I like the Indian Scout but I'm afraid I'll outgrow it in a couple of years.

If I go with a Harley, it'll be a V-Rod. Whatever I get, I want it to be a daily freeway driver.

Polaris is shutting them down. They have Victory and Indian. I guess they couldn't sustain them both.

a reply to: LogicalGraphitti Harley is dropping the V-rod nex year,or so I`ve heard.You might want to grab one soon if you want one brand new.Harley has the best dealer network around,one in just about every town.Sure is reassuring on long road trips and their HOG group is pretty darn nice to be in to meet people who ride-not every Harley guy is a gang member.Most of us are law-abiding.
