I've rode a few over the years and I never felt the risk was worth the reward.
To many fools out there if ya know what I mean.

I'll stick to quads and mud trucks...

I'm surprised that helmets aren't mandatory in every state. Seat belts are.

in general i am not really one that is in favor of more laws.
i think helmets are a great idea but i dont think it should be a law to wear one.

at the same time there are places where you have to wear a helmet but you are also allowed to split traffic.
makes no sense to me.

I ride a BMW. It is being traded for a new Triumph Bobber though. Hopefully in the next couple of weeks. Weather hasnt been quite ready for riding.

Riding is therapeutic to me. Yes, it can be dangerous if you arent careful, but the focus it requires really clears your mind if distractions. Especially riding in urban environment. It feels like you are flying.

Talk about timing, I was just outside cleaning my vulcan 800 classic, getting ready for a ride. It's warming up to a whopping 48 degrees today with no rain in the forecast and the past five days of rain have washed the salt off the road for clean sailing. Yahoo!!!!

I have an Enduro Yamaha XT 225
I love having the option of being able to go off road and hit the trails.
This is a google pic of my beast since it is in a barn right now.

The tires have been changed as well as the sprocket so I will get faster acceleration off the start.

I have been on a motorcycle since 2000, in that time I have owned what must be 40 odd bikes from full blown race rep machines to my current BMW GS..

Sadly the situation with overcrowding within the UK, along with a relentless war on anything fun I have come to the point where my bike will come out very very little even in the nicer weather.. I hit the road and just get frustrated constantly sitting behind cars, older open road national speed limit areas are now reduced to 40mph. Lack of investment has left the roads in a proper third world state..

I actually did a lot of track days but with the cost involved of owning a dedicated track bike it really is not justifiable now, If I lived near decent roads with a few mountain passes I would be well into it again sadly now no where near as much..

I have a VN1500 trike. It's off the road for the moment with selector problem. So I got a Pan ST1100, hope to get it legal this week.
In answer to Bluntone:- If you thought about the risk to enjoyment theory you would do nothing.
Happy and safe riding.

TinySickTears - if your gonna go shovel head, talk to the Dragon Man in Colorado.
He's the best, and can build anything you want cheaper than most. He's got a website that breaks down all the machining and options.

Ummm...no pics cause mine are still in winter storage...(all five of them)

Let's see...2000 Kawasaki ZX12R ninja unlimited...1984 Honda 1000 interceptor...two 1980 Honda CBS 900 Customs...one with sidecar...and a 1979 Kawasaki KZ 750...

Yes...I love me some rice rockets...although not much rocket in the 900 customs and the KZ 750...
Although they do have a lot of grunt....

I like the bigger bikes...although they are a tad more to throw around in the curves than the smaller stuff...

Thank you. Oh, yes. Unless you get the high-end Z06 model you ought to be able to get any Vette for less than $80K. The national dealers sell for at least 10% off MSRP for ordered vehicles (like this one. I got 12% off) and if you're wiling to take one off the lot the discount is even better. There are still a few 2016's on lots and you should be able to get those for 20-25% off MSRP. Vettes rarely rack up more than a few thousand miles a year so if you're willing to buy used and let someone else take the depreciation hit you should be able to get a late model with 12-20K miles for less than $50K. Just make sure it has been driven by someone my age instead of my grandson's age.

Wow, didn't know the deals were that good.

I'm currently trying to get the wife to ok a factory five acr cobra kit. I just so happen to have the chassis from an 89 cobra convertible with a supercharged 302 sitting in the barn.
Wish me luck.
