What is one conspiracy theory that led you to ATS?

I'll start by saying John Titor (For those who don't know him, he was a man who claimed to be a real time traveler back in 2000-2001 and that he predicted the coming Police State and 2nd American Civil War). By now I know many of you guys have seen me referenced John Titor multiple times but the reality is his story what brought me here.

Hoaxer or not, I thank the man behind this for spilling the story that eventually led me to ATS.

Just the governments explaination on everything in general. None of the official explainations ever made any kind of sense

I was sitting in a room of structural engineers in a major oil company on September 11, 2001. We all took the time to go to the conference room, watch things unfold. I listened to the chatter from my co-workers... them pointing out that this was horrible but at least the people would be easy to find because this was an obvious controlled demolition... especially #7. So there was going to be an easy trail to follow.

The talk two weeks later was entirely different... people were quiet, some blew up and lost their jobs, others just kept going.

I'm not a structural engineer... I was helping with some AutoCad macros for them at the time. I did listen a lot though.

Then I got online and started looking around.

ATS was there.

Not a single topic. I enjoy reading about anything out of the ordinary. What makes it more interesting to me is reading the replies of the members.

A scary sleep paralysis episode is what brought me here about 12 years ago. I lurked for a LONG time as you can see from my join date. That night I went down a rabbit hole and haven't left since.

It's seems forever ago, but I recall it had something to do with Coast to Coast AM.

For me it wasn't really a conspiracy or a theory, just personal experiences with paranormal urged me to search high and low.

I didn't learn much about conspiracy theories until I spent some time here.

No conspiracy brought me to ATS.My son is a member and
I wanted to see what he was up to here.I wanted to make
sure that I didn't have to worry about the FBI knocking on my
door looking for him.

Well looking at the strange crap that still happens to me i just tried to find answers online and stumbled over ATS. I was a long time inactive because life loves to curbstomp me. I learned that knowing certain things and experiencing them f#cks you up and it can certainly ruin you. You can never talk about this stuff with your family or friends well if i had any but that's not the point. At lest here i can stay true to myself and i'm not forced to keep it hidden.

The next really bad event is showing its face on the horizon and i'm not sure if i'm able to survive it. I had a bad vibe before my father died a few years ago and now with my mother in a hospital and a serious operation ahead i have the same stupid bad vibe. I envy people who live a normal and quiet life. They are completely oblivious to the weird things people like me have to live with. Swallowing the red pill is not something every person can handle. I won't recommend it to my family. They have no idea who i really am but maybe it's for the best.

You could say i'm my own conspiracy.

I found ATS when researching 9/11 Conspiracies and the story of John Titor.

I was tracking a Russian deep cover Comedian at loose in the U.S. It's my hobby and, you know: RUSSIAN'S!!! I believe him to be DBCowboy. Or that Augustus Masonicus guy. I can tell he uses a Kryllic keyboard. Trust me.

I was privy to some secrets and wanted to see if anyone ever talked about them.
