It's because trump is saying this. Sean Spicer mentioned this three separate times in his press conference the other day.
Nothing here but something trump thinks will make a good distraction.

The activity she mentioned was perfectly legal. She didn't say he was under surveillance. Which is trumps stupid claim that he refuses to admit he made up.
