This kind of stuff is actually common in upper ends of our society. It is who you know sometimes that is important, the of a kind philosophy applies here. People who share something in common with other people will often do things to protect the relationship. We do it in the regular society too, but we don't have the power to cover up things as well if we do not have a connection with the governing body.

Think of the old mindset, a cop does not give a cop a ticket and cops are not supposed to give politicians tickets unless something major happens.

And right on time, YourFakeNewsWire delivers with 4 year-old allegation — allegations that were already blitzed in the media and investigated — involving an ambassador slipping his security detail to hook up with underaged prostitutes while Clinton was Sec State and that higher ups, possibly her, "quashed" the investigation.

Put it under the false title "NBC News: Hillary Clinton ‘Covered Up’ Pedophile Ring At State Department" and you've got yourself something Trump supporters can grasp onto. (Oh, who am I kidding? This is way more than required for that)

- NBC never claimed that Hillary Clinton covered up a pedophile ring. So that's a lie.
- The allegations didn't involve a ring but rather a single ambassador. So that's a lie.
- Clinton herself wasn't implicated. So that's a lie.

Then we've got the 4 year-old exerpts and some garbage about Trump conflated for good measure and if that wasn't enough, a story about one of the tens of thousands of mayors in the United States being convicted of sexual molestation under the bulls# title, "First Democrat Official Tied To Elite Pedophile Ring Pleads Guilty."

What elite pedophile ring? The victim told his wife, the wife dimed him out? Probably a neighbor or worse, a member of this sick bastard's own family. What elite circles does the mayor of Hubbard, Ohio travel in? It's a town with a population of seven thousand.

Oh well, have fun! When you're done, there's always Mars rocks videos on YouTube to watch.

There are more people at the lower levels, and that makes the incidents more common. But the people at the top do a lot of this and it effects more people than when it is done in the lower levels of society. Look at how many people pork barrel spending negatively effects compared to the number it positively effects. The deals made by congressmen are a part of this same practice, but are a less controversial part.

Hillary seems to have protected an Ambassador, the right thing to do would have been to contact the head of the Ambassadors government and tell the person. Not cover it up and allow it to continue.

Of course. That's a standard disinfo tactic. Blow a genuine problem totally out of proportion, throw in a bunch of "facts" that are easily discredited if not outright disproven, and then point and chortle, "See? If that's not true then none of it is true!" And then throw the entire investigation out the window. Very devious... but apparently quite effective with those who prefer to believe what they want than the truth.

This is from 2013. It was all over right wing media and NBC and US News & World Report are the only other mainstream sources I could find.

The Ambassador and State department responded to the allegations. The story faded after that. It was given to Congress to investigate already, back in 2013.

Old news? Still true? Early smear campaign prior to election??

If Ambassador was innocent this was a terrible charge. If not, then it was swept away.
