The next Pontiff/Pope

With all the prophecies around in the world today, i came across one that really struck me,

The man to replace the current pontiff, could possibly be the next antichrist.

Thus the reason the church hasnt let John Paul retire his position, or allow the effects of old age to take its toll.
How long has he been stricken with diseases, ailments and functioning problems? yet they still do everything possible to ensure he stays on the top position?

2 other points brought to my attention is an event that recently happend when he tried to realease 2x white doves in a annual show of peace, and both attempts saw the doves fly straight back in through the door behind the pope. Could be a sign?

Within the popes doors, when he is having Mass with his internal priests/parishes he levitates...

they actually stated he levitates during mass?

ALSO.. sorry for dragging this out, but recently we have had some BAD fires in Perth CIty.

If the next pope uses a name that hasn't been used by another pope before so is like "Pope Soandso I" and you add up all the numbers of the popes, it will add to 666.

But there have been MANY more papal names throughout history than those which the author of djohnstone's link has mentioned. Each one of those names, at least, would equal a (1) on his scale.... even if it was only used once.

Anyone who has read a single history book will realize that the few names this guy mentions are not the only ones popes have used.

In the end, that link is just a case of a guy using selective history to prove his anti-catholic viewpoints. He has ignored every name that would push the next pope over the number '666'.

i forgot to say that in my link to St. Malachy's pope prophecy, he started creating the list of popes from after he had the vision in like 1130 or something like that, so mine won't include the popes prior to that, and im not sure on the date.

According to St. Malachy,

Pope # 266 (John Paul) was called "De labore Solis," meaning of the eclipse of the sun, or from the labour of the sun. Oddly enough, he was born during an eclipse.

Pope # 267 was called, "Gloria olivae," meaning something like "glorious past."


The last pope is called "Peter the Roman" by Malachy; however, some argue that Malachy was not very specific and there could be any number of popes between Gloria Olivae and Peter the Roman.

Pope #267 I read somewhere is supposed to be very short lived.

Peter the Roman will not be the anti-christ. He will be the false prophet.

As far as I know pope's don't 'retire'. They are the pope til they are dead.

The Catholic Church ceratinly doesn't think that the anti-christ is going to be a pope.

Peter the Roman will not be the anti-christ. He will be the false prophet.

How is the pope going to be a false prophet for a new false god?

Makes you wonder. They've been keeping the pope stashed away quite a bit lately.

now my family sees me as certifiable. I made the mistake of telling some of them about the possibiliy of the new pope being the antichrist- they're all catholics needless to say, i got a dressing down by them and they said my mind was warped and i should stop reading nonsense.

I doubt a pope will be the Antichrist.

The Maitreya is the most likely candidate. It will be someone who unites all the world relgiions (effectively destroying Christianity, hence Antichrist), but in a way that people feel it is necessary. (ie the world is in economic chaos and muslims are battling jews and chrisitans etc.) Then comes in the World Teacher to "save us", people buy it out of desperation. Out comes one world currency - chip, one world government, and one world religion. After he's done playing nice and the people who buy it are nice and enslaved, the ugliness will begin. In the meantime, anyone who stands against it, will be labeled a terrorist and will lose their head.

Just a theory, but this guy exists already.

one must wonder why the 7 seals on maitreya.org has 3 nazi swazticas in them. The david star on the bottom left, the very bottom sun thing, and the middle sign.

ALSO... Is he kidding, all the prophecies he has fulfilled are the prophecies of the anti-christ. If this is real, and he is the anti-christ, are there really that many christians who are going to be fooled?

Has anyone ever heard about the prediction that once the Vatican hall of Papal portraits is full, that will be it. I read that there is only one or two more spaces for portraits to be hung, one for the present one and then the final spot for the next one. The way I heard it, the prediction was that the pope whose portrait filled the last spot on the wall is supposed to be the last one.
I heard this long ago, so if anyone has more details, I would be grateful.

i heard about that malachy prophecy. Perhaps the reason his prophecy has been correct is due to the fact that when electing pontiffs, they use that as a guide Who knows. The pope does not seem to fit the description of the beast though, more likely the pontiff will be the false prophet that glorifies the beast himself. that MAITREYA man is nuts though. somethings fishy about him, and it aint his breath...

Well, when the pope visited some eastern orthodox countries recently, the monks and preists there came out in force with signs saying 'the pope is the antichrist'. They must've thought the visit was the end of teh world or something! Interestingly, the pope was there as a 'head of state' (that state being the vatican) rather than religious leader

They're swatstikas, but not the actual nazi one. The sawtsika is a symbol common in vedic/hinduism, and used widely outside of it actually. The maitreya group probably gets it thru hinduism, since they are sort of a group that comes out of it.

Hmm, thats interesting actually. Even if a few of the cardinals were adherents of the prophecy that might be enough to influence it.

Maitreya is not a man, he doesn't exist, he's a 'god', not an actual person walking around, as far as I understand it. Its just some new agey type religion, i think its got some connection to theosophism too.
