So I'm kind of a connoisseur of absurd comedy. I had to look up how to spell that werd just now.

Here are some of my all time favorite comedies, and I would love to read your lists.
I grew up in the USA, so I am mostly limited to those comedies.
(This thread is not intended as a troll-magnet. "Trolls begone!")

And for you video game fans, there are a bunch of mods making ALL of the Tamriel worlds in a project at BEYONDSKYRIM.ORG ...sounds badass. They are starting to BETA test some of the new countries.

So here is a partial list of my fav. comedies in no order, except mabe East Bound and Always Sunny are tied...
Some of them have hot chicks. Some don't.

-East Bound and Down (The Man With the Golden...)
-Always Sunny ("Just Move Past It")
-Mr. Ed (of Course, of course)
-All In The Family ("Dingbat!")
-Little Britain ("Yeah, I know!")
-Workaholics (Still a newer one for me... but when they tripped at that hotel..LOL)
-The Jeffersons ("Movin On Up!")
-Three's Company (70's... plenty of nips...Don Knotts... need I say more?)
-Monty Python (only a flesh wound)
-Benny Hill (More nips)
-Hee-Haw (Where, oh where are you tonight?" a childhood fav.)
-Seinfeld ("I was in the pool!")
-Night Court (Only the first 3 seasons or so... and Markie Post....mmm....)
-Diff'rent Strokes (Whatchou Takin 'bout Willis?)
-Alf (eater of cats....filmer of teens in showers.. "HA!")
-The Wonder Years (sappy but fun)
-Alice ("Kiss My Grits!".. yeah I'm old, so I'm heavy on the 70's/80's)
-That 70's show... (Mila Kunis and Laura Prepon and a lot of basement fun... good times!)
-Good Times! ("Dyn-o-MITE!")
-What's Happening ("Hey, HEY, Hey!")
-Scrubs (Somehow, I think this show set a new standard for spontaneous and unpredictable)
-Mork & Mindy (only Robin Williams could tell racist jokes and be loved by everyone)
-Roseanne (clever, organic, a very moral show)
-I Dream of Jeannie (Barbara Eden=very soft porn)
-Gilligan's Island (ditto)
-3rd Rock From The Sun (perhaps not a more robustly brilliant show)

Ok, this is interfering with my drinking time and it's getting a little racy, so ... your go .. Let's ROLL or let's TROLL, Earthlings.

Sorry I cant list more European shows... I'm just a Yankee-Doodle Dandy. I couldn't possibly name every good show that ever existed, but maybe some new titles will pop up. Give us your best 10 anyway. Laughter is the antithesis of everything that is wrong in the world, IMO.

-The Cosby Show was a cultural breakthrough for its time (The Jeffersons perhaps first portraying black affluency) but looking back its formula was rather predictable. The kids act up and Cliff and Clair set them straight. (Yadda, yadda, yadda.) =)

This one gets rather absurd, with the help of the imagination of a frustrated office worker.

P.S. This video reverses the screen image of the original broadcast. The mirror images are not part of the joke.

Soap rocked,I loved that show!

Here are my 5:

5. Mr Belvadere (sp)

4. Threes company . A real situational comedy.

3. Roseanne

2. Mama's family. This show was hilarious with an amazing cast who genuinely seemed to have fun on set.

1. All in the family. Of course.

Forgot about Little Rascals and The Three Stooges..classics!
I would add Northern Exposure to the list also, probably my favorite show of all time in gerneral along with STNG of course.

As far as "greatest comedy show ever made", I'd say Seinfeld or Monty Python.

Yea Soap was revolutionary back then, with Billy Crystal, Bert's invisibility(haha) and Benson, great show and a must see for comedy affectionados. I'll check out Redd's "Confucius says" too.
Thx meathead and her'e to All In The Family too, another first of it's kind

Red foxx had belly busting comedy routine.
If you ever get a chance YouTube his “Confucius say“ bit.. be warned a lot of his stand up is nsfw or kids.
