well I think the name is funny and thous baned ones are funny but on a more real I can also see how it maybe not be just one offended fool.
and happen to aggree with plates you want to be special fine do so but your rights ends were others rights begin .
as for the poor dude well taht name would have given him trouble here in grade school /
and if it was a girl with it ooo boy . Sorry to say kids are much cruler then adults ever could be

I'll admit his name is great for a trump knock knock joke but that's his last name and it should only be looked at that way. If someone is offended that's not his fault.

How dare he!!! He has properly destroyed the lives of millions innocent people, who just happens to pass by minding their own business, when this fool came around, and made their eyes bleed with those plates!!
How does he dare!?!

One would think he expected people to educate and learn their children to think for themselfs, so they wouldnt be destroyed from the inside, with those horrendous and evil letters his name is made out off, that will burn their sorry souls to dust, and only leave an empty shell, destroyed by this vicious mans plates.... What a fool!

IF only he was a Grabheim.

I have some relatives who have the name Mankiller. Don't know if they've ever tried to get a personalized plate or not!

People who are triggered by things printed on cars should not be out in general society. People who get so triggered by something printed on a plate that they make time and take effort to complain to the authorities should not be allowed to handle sharp objects, much less ride in a car in public.

"A Dartmouth man is furious that after 25 years the Nova Scotia Registry of Motor Vehicles has cancelled his personalized licence plate with his last name Grabher on it, following a single complaint."

He had the plate for 25 years and suddenly one old lady complained and now he has to give it up. I could understand Bill Clinton having to give up "CIGAR," JFK having to give up "ADULTRR1," JEdgar Hoover giving up "CRSSDRSSR," and Dick Cheney surrendering "GUNNER1" but this guy had his plate for 25 years and now it's evil. Maybe there are a lot of snowflakes that far north.

"can misinterpret it as a socially unacceptable slogan."

Not sure how the word 'grabber' is a slogan of any sorts. Believe it or not, I have said some pretty outrageous things in my life and if I wanted to say something that caught your attention calling you a 'grabber' would be roughly 1,425,768th on the list.

On a side note the greatest offensive license plate I ever saw was a New York plate that said 'FJACKIE'. Howard Stern fans will get this one.

What a time to be alive...

Ir's not new. I recall a fellow by the name of Herzog who was known in some circles as "The Zog". He had a vanity plate with that on it, and it was pulled after a complaint. Seems somebody figured that it stood for 'Zionist Occupation Government' or some such thing.

I don't recall if was ever resolved but I do remember one pertinent detail...Herzog is Jewish.

You can't fix stoopid and there is no stoopid like bureaucratic stoopid.

I have to admit with english not being my native language and german resembling my native dutch so much that I had to look at that name again to get what it was all about.

So if he can't advertise his name on his car, is this man also banned from advertising his name on say his doorbell ? Does he now have to use only an inital for the name upon signing official documents ? The public servant might get offended if he doesn't ...
