Well it's Trump, the same man who quoted the national enquirer as the source for his Ted Cruz's father was involved in the Kennedy assassination, got his wire tap claims from a story from Breitbart and claims there are 3 million illegal votes with no evidence...that guy.

Not hard to imagine him being fooled by everything.

The thing about this is, I don't think Trump is smart enough to collude with Russia but may have inadvertently involved himself by hiring people to run his campaign who may have.

No facts yet, so we will have to wait and see. Trump is not a smart man, so it is hard for me to see him organize an effort with Russia to screw over Americans but the people he hired to run his campaign are.

I have now read the relevant portions of the transcipt.

Cuomey did mention that Russia had at some point in time used a middleman but failed to confirm that this small out-of-context clip of the entire manuscript. Cuomey did not confirm that Russia used a middleman to release the Podesta emails to wikkileaks.

It is speculation on your part to assume that russia used a middleman

What I read of the transcript - there is someone who worked on the Trump campaign that also lobbied for the Ukraine in 2012 without registering under FARA.

I see clearly that the committee tried very hard to confirm that this person is the leaker of the podesta emails but it is speculation that was not confirmed by Cuomy.

Frankly it reads entirely like a witch hunt based on events that transpired prior to the campaign. There is absoultely no confirmation that russia leaked the emails but we do have confirmation from Assange and Cuomy that Russia did not do it.

So the use of the word cutout would indicate someone who doesn't know who provided the original source (and therefor is not in a position to confirm it was Russia). and the information that russia could have used a cutout was an opinion based on some intelligence but still not a confirmation
