I am pretty sure that people considered Jesus and his followers as a cult. The joke is on you. Also Sir Isaac Newton concluded there was not Trinity Doctrine, and that humans have a hope on earth. Do you wish to accuse Yahweh's people?

How is the joke on me exactly? I don't have a belief in any gods.

Also, I don't see how this is relevant to the jw cults covering up and accepting paedophiles with the 2 witness rule.

Well, you are mistaken about JWs covering pedophiles. If you continue to hold on to that you are crazy. Yes I will tell you straight up, you are misguided. One more comment about this subject, and I wont comment anymore. It is not worth my time, because it is false. If you are so wrapped up in falsehood that you cannot get past this, then I cannot reason with you. It is not worth it.

The 2 witness rule helps cover up and protect paedophiles.

It's not my fault the jw cult does it.

No question got asked from me that I didn't answer.

The only hypocrites are the jw cult by covering up and condoning paedophiles with the 2 witness rule.

You should better stop flaming this thread. You have actually accused them of creating the rule for the purpose of covering certain type of illicit behaviour which you have not proven by anything. On top of that, they did not created the rule but pulled it out of the Bible which is something one would expected from a Christian.

I'm pretty sure you would recalled this good old rule if you had been falsely accused from a deed like this.
In a world full of lying evil people it's enough for a woman to start screaming and lying and you have a problem. I think it's not a bad rule at all.

Your using of this example and repeating the word paedophiles over and over again only shows your bias. No wonder that member TheChrome pointed it out as an obsession. I think you are rather trying to derail the thread and create an emotional response by this meme. This rule clearly applies as a standard to every accusation so why this one?
Applying of this rule could only be seen as a problem when the one and only witness should have been denied to report the crime or to give a testimony in the court. Then it's an ethical question similar to keeping a confessional secrecy.
I believe a common JW is trying to be the best Christian, like in the first Church so in a situation when there's something evil that needs to be uprooted this rule would be secondary and if someone abused these rules this person would be thrown out too.
To leave a couple of words on topic... I don't think Russia can afford to lose God's favour in these bad times. Someone should rethink his priorities. I mean seriously? What about solving an organized crime, human trafficking, drugs, alcoholism, corruption etc etc first?

Most cases of child abuse involve 2 people. The person doing the abusing and the child getting abused. How the hell is there going to be 2 witnesses if the abuser doesn't admit to it?

So, like I have said multiple times, this 2 witness rule is nothing more than jws condoning and covering up child abuse and paedophiles.

The facts as you propose do not exist.

So you're saying the 2 witness rule doesn't exist?
I was a long time JW before waking up. The 2 witnesses to any sin rule does indeed exist. However this in itself is not reprehensible as it applies only to internal congregation matters. What is reprehensible is that the elders and administration don't report any suspected abuse to the police even though it is the law that they do. If they don't want to disfellowship a member because of their 2 witnesses rule then that's fine, but why would they not report it to the police and let them do their job?
BUT IT GETS WORSE. Abused JWs are counseled to "think about what it would do to the name of Jehovah" if you report this to the police, you should forgive and get on with your life, Jehovah will help you to forgive and bless you. You see they inserted one of God's names into theirs and now each one of them carries God's name around with them all the time and have to worry about what people will think. Anyone who does report it to the police is viewed with disgust and as weak and traitorous. They are also reminded of an irrelevant scripture that basically says a believer should not take another believer to court. This is what should be coming out in the royal commission, the abuse of power over people.

BTW TheChrome, are your elders aware you are talking with disfellowshipped people on ATS? Tut tut, what would they say if they found out?
