I like the sound. I've never really listened to much of the original stuff, but I always liked the sound when used in earlier dance/trip-hop music.
Not sure if it will be welcomed or not, but here's an example or 2...

Ravi Shankar...a lot. The Beatles/George Harrisons Indian teacher (and father of Pop singer Nora Jones)...any sitar works by him is amazing. Any and all of it.

It for me would be impossible to name a single one that stands out. I just wish everyone will expose themselves to any and everything by him!**

**also GREAT to meditate to...although at times quite fast and "busy"...but still!
