Making a fool of our country isn't a free speech issue and is no reason to silence anybody, particularly when "making a fool of" is a pretty subjective thing to say. One could argue that Obama "made a fool" of us by his actions and words, should we have advocated for not allowing him to talk to the press or leave the White House because it might make America look bad?

I'll wait for you to explain that one.

And I'll also wait for examples of this outright racism on Twitter.

you want me to point you to racist, hate speech and personnal attacks he made on twitter??

You said he's repeatedly said racist things on Twitter and I said I'd wait for examples of the racist things he's said on Twitter. What are you confused about?

First we do have a 1st amendment protecting free speech

Etiquette should be followed if one is in a position of power, but that hardly ever happens now these day, so why not let them all paint themselves into a political corner. Stupidity, arrogance, and large ego's have no partisanship.

Libel laws in place to protect the innocent from defamation.

The main problem with our MO here in the USA, coming from the top down is "Do as I say, but not as I do"

Mass hypocrisy is upon us.

Libel laws do not seem to stop Trump from defaming one of the best President this country ever had, Barack Hussein Obama by falsely accusing him of espionage.

I dont know it is such common occurrence I did not think you would want me to point to every single tweet. ill compile some for you if this is what you wish.

I said examples, not every single one. And of racist comments, not "personal attacks" or "hate speech."

No because Twitter is privately held so they can ban anyone they want, just like ATS. OOOO!!!

People can say whatever they but if it's not in a true public arena they warrant getting censored, or banned, even the president, however we still have the right in the USA to speak out intelligently, or like fools.

hahahahaha

I just want the leftists to confirm what I've been saying.

They don't like opinions that are different from theirs and they will go to great lengths to ban/silence any opinion that doesn't conform to their narrow world view.

So I'm actually happy to see this thread!

I say do it.

Show the world that leftists ban people simply because of a different way of thinking.

Please do it.

PLEASE!

Well actually they've been doing that for awhile. silencing conservative voices on twitter that touch outside the bounds, but liberals can do whatever they want with almost no repercussions.

Oh, and I am 99.7% convinced ops is simply a troll account. nobody is this "touched" except in the minds of the opposition.

like some self proclaiming conservative being the epitome of every fear based nonsense the left sees "all I am saying is lets pay women less and still not hire them" type stuff.

But fun to discuss parody accounts anyhow. My favorite account on twitter is godwin elfwick. fantasically funny parody of a progressive (like this guy, but with humor)

I bet the OP liberal probably thinks Wiki-leaks and Anonymous are terrorists too.... Because of fake news....

The sad part is I trust Wiki-leaks / Anonymous more than any other news outlet/government today online.

But I am not supposed to look at the information because national security and because I'm supposed to be a compliant person.
