This should bring whole communities out in protest.
I understand that I'm no legal expert but how in the heck can they boil a person and then get no punishment? You don't just accidentally bold someone unless you're mentality handicapped or just plain evil.

It should be punishment but they are protected from charges apparently, which may run deeper than just the judge herself. In the guards case sounds like it was intentional.

Even if a claimed accident does anyone ever get off of charges for that situation? Does it have to involve the person dying first? Or are just prison guards immune here? I knew someone who went to prison and it was a supposed accident or so she claimed, when the woman she was taking care(evidently not at the time when she wasn't paying attention) of burned to death in the tub.

Yeah really private prisons are nearly legal cartels in themselves.

If there was ever a clear case of violating the 8th Amendment, this would be it.

Unbelievable.

I am wondering what the prisoner was in for?

If the guy killed someone then it would be no surprise karma came back hard on him.

Serving time for posession of powder, not even intent to sell, yet he deserved this? Schizoprenic too, and yet rather than institutionalized, hes thrown in a prison and then boiled to death by the guards...

And yet the judge declares nothing to see here.

I hope he haunts them til they themselves burn in Hell where they are surely from, and surely belong.

The original news story I think ...

I went to look it up because I didn't want to believe people were capable of such things..but apparently they are...

I am really trying to digest this story. I would expect, for the guards not to be punished and this deemed an accident death, there must have been an investigation that showed that the guards were unaware of a failure had occurred and the water temperature was too extreme?

Emotionally, this story is repulsive, even if the criminal was an extreme violent offender, which it appears he wasn't. My sane mind says that for a judge to dismiss this, there has to have been an investigation that showed that there was a mechanical or technical error that the guards were unaware of.

Sad case.

They accidentally left him in the shower for 2 hours while he was begging to be let out ?....hmmm

I would say they are psychopaths with serious detachment from reality and devoid of empathy. Likely started tortiuring puppies and other animals as kids and steadily progressed to the screws that they are.

This judge has never convicted any LEO or corrections officers since being in position..started in 1990..speaks for itself.

Disturbing doesn't even begin to describe this...

I wonder what these four jackholes are doing to justify it, even to themselves... Not that there's any way to justify it, but I'm sure they're trying.

I wonder if they're parents? "Hi, daddy, what'd you do at work today?" "Hello, son, I boiled a man to death in a shower." Hell of a dinner table conversation.

Rat bastards need to hang. The judge should undergo psyche evaluations.

I try.

The devil of it is, I know many Corrections Officers in my day to day life, one of them is one of my older sisters.

Those guys and gals would never in a million years even contemplate doing something of this nature. How in the Hell does one institution have four monsters of this calibre?

There is something else going on here, but I've no idea what. Frankly, looking too closely might cause me to projectile vomit.

The government is out of control, all branches. This is just more evidence.

We no longer have the rule of law. If we did, there would be justice. This surely doesn't seem to be it, and I don't care what the man in question may have done before going to prison.

He may have raped children to death, but that doesn't mean you boil him to death.

God love you, ketsuko.
