Correction it was not Trump that gave Flint $100 million it was Obama

Today I am signing the Water Infrastructure Improvements for the Nation (WIIN) Act into law. It authorizes vital water projects across the country to restore watersheds, improve waterways and flood control, and improve drinking water infrastructure. The law also authorizes $170 million for communities facing drinking water emergencies, including funding for Flint, Michigan, to recover from the lead contamination in its drinking water system.

Can you link me to where they said Trump did this and not the EPA? Articles I read only mentioned the EPA.

Yes. I called out the other poster in the thread giving credit to Trump for the Flint money.

However, they didn't change their incorrect Fake news thread at all and in fact just continued to try and cover his lie.

That is the problem. It's not ignorance. It's willful deception on the part of some members here to keep others from knowing the truth.

They will continue to lie and post propaganda knowingly in order to fool other people into believing in some other reality than the one that is actually happening.

But I agree that we do need to call them out for it when they do it.

It doesn't seem like he had his heart into it if he waited to the last minute. I'm from Flint born at Hurley grew up in the north end Beecher. Not a safe place these days.

So yes while it was Trump's EPA awarding the cash, it was because of a law signed in 2016.

Where exactly is the lie? Deception maybe, but I don't see an outright lie.

It was signed by Obama and approved by congress in 2016. Trump's EPA didn't do anything to get credit for. It was already a done deal.

All they did is NOT repeal it. You don't get credit for simply NOT REPEALING something that has already passed. He had no part in any of it.

2017:
It was Obama's fault!

Obama had 8 years and tried to get something done before he left because he probably knew Trump would fix it anyway. There is no other explanation for him to to do nothing for so long.

Therefore this is all on Trump, after all that is what we are told if anything goes wrong...like the division in the country, for example... around long before Trump ever ran but now it is he who is blamed and he who needs to fix it according to liberals.

Can't have it both ways.

I didn't mention emails. I am pointing out the fact that cramming in some good at the end of 8 years and doing nothing for the prior 8 years tells a story.

The history books will show the lives of people in Flint getting better under Trump's watch, after Obama failed to help for 8 years, and like I said these are liberal rules that chalk this win up to Trump.

You can't blame Trump for the division in the country and then credit his predecessor for any of the good. It's one or the other, make your choice.
