THE SHACK

I just can't say enough good things about this movie. They got it right. The Mystery is so subtly hard to realize, but this film is possibly the most cogent version of God in relation to man that I have ever seen. Simply Fantastic!

Give your own impressions, or simply post a trailer to a movie that has moved you in the same way. As we go, I'll show you a few others that have impressed me the same way.

I've read the book, very emotional ride.

Can't wait to see the movie The Shack. Have you seen it ? The trailer looks good, the soundtrack good as well.

I really loved this film. I am an atheist but this film is great. The trailer does not do the film justice.

Does it get better? I only made it halfway through the book.

I'm hoping for a Dark Forest movie.. One of the most epic trilogies, IMO and a great answer to the Fermi Paradox.

Many movies have moved me over the years or at least had my attention. Brave Heart bothered me for a few days until I found out I was Scotch Irish. One of the latest flying movies was called Fly Boys for no other reason than it was based on a true story and the flying was worth a watch..youtu.be...

The original Star Wars blew my socks off when it first came out and a friend and I exited the move and got back in line to see it all over again.

But I am a softy for I even liked Avatar.

To many to list that have entertained made me feel grateful, thoughtful, and alive.

Ooops just went back and read the title of the Op.. I really don't have any mysteries that were not settled in my mind long ago... So sorry if I was off topic.

What you failed to mention is that while the movie has an intriguing name, it is about generalized religion. I saw it with my GF. She liked it (as it is what I would call a "chick flick") and I was bored. She is quasi-religious and I'm from the spiritual/consciousness side of the universe and disdain organized religion with some deity sharing top billing.

The movie makes the old and troubling effort to explain that old bugaboo of religion of why a Good, Heavenly Father would take the life of an innocent child. And while attempting to appeal to people by the visible forms of God being a black woman, an Asian gal, and a Jewish fellow--where was the Muslim?--it was too much about Jesus.

I like Slaughterhouse 5.
The movie was pretty good. The book, of course, better. "Billy!"

Yes. In the metaphysics section, but no concerns with the topic.

Starars has more of a mystery in it than you might expect.

Rogue One

Thank you, though. I'm always after more good movies to watch.

The best movie about that stuff is "Defending Your Life." Albert Brooks and Meryl Streep and Rip Torn and Lee Grant and Buck Henry.

"Defending Your Life" represents the actual truth.

I went last night. SOOOOO good. I loved it because it depicts God accurately.

Most people never get the fact that God's image is BOTH male and female in Genesis 1. They miss this because the names have been changed. Go right now to the NOG (names of God Bible) on Bible gateway and let me show you something amazing. Elohim is EL, or Aleph Lamed (Al_Lah). He is the Father. Ruach Elohim hovered over the waters of the formless, which is the womb of creation. She is the Holy Spirit, or Mother. In the first encounter with God, he meets the Holy Spirit. Later, the Father comes in character as male.

In truth, God is what Genesis 1 states, Echad (one), as in marriage. Echad is a Hebrew word meaning ONE, but a unity of multiples. This is One in the same usage for the word that we find when Adam and Eve became one (Echad) flesh. One as in single is Yachid, or bad. It's never used in relation to God Elohim. Later, you meet Yahweh, who is the Lord (Son of God). In the Movie, we meet God the Mother, God the Father, the Son of God and the Spirit of the Son. He even introduces her as his own Spirit. I love this movie! So accurate. Flawless as a matter of fact.

I have not seen this, but from the trailer, it likely alludes to this verse by definition:

Matthew 18

18 “Truly I tell you, whatever you bind on earth will be[e] bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be[f] loosed in heaven.

19 “Again, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. 20 For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.”

I haven't seen The Shack yet, though it looks interesting.

I love these kinds of movies, and they make for a good way to chat and share with those who aren't necessarily big into spirituality.

One that really struck a chord with me, is The Fountain. It makes one think more deeply about relationships and the power of Love...

Shekinah Glory - Divine feminine aspect.

I just watched it. Very good. I understood better this time than the book.

Still a very hard lesson. Blessings for the lesson, there is always room for learning.
