Apparently the EPA has approved a $100 million grant to Flint, MI.

Looks like Flint wants to replace pipes and other water upgrades.

Took long enough.

Trump’s EPA Sending $100 Million to Michigan for Flint Water Relief

The Environmental Protection Agency has awarded $100 million to the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality to help them recover from the water crisis plaguing the region, reports MLive.

The funds are part of the Water Infrastructure Improvements for the Nation Act, which was approved in 2016. The money was officially awarded on Friday, and will help the city accelerate programs to replace service lines that have leached lead in to the city’s water supply.

"The people of Flint and all Americans deserve a more responsive federal government," said EPA head Scott Pruitt. "EPA will especially focus on helping Michigan improve Flint's water infrastructure as part of our larger goal of improving America's water infrastructure."

that's a hell of a lot more than Obama did.

I remember random Rap Artists were donating clean bottles of water to Flint. How did it take THIS long for a legitimate assistance program to take effect? What the actual F!!!?

At last! Something I can cheer about.

I hope it is going to be put into responsible hands. I don't trust the governor there with anything.

Hate to be 'that guy', but this is a reward for bad behavior. I want to know who is going to the poor house because of bad management decisions.

If I had control of the money, I'd be willing to let it go Flint, as long as:
All of the city managers forfeited their pensions ... and I mean all of them.

Then, you'd have a lesson for others to draw on.

This has nothing to do with Trump.

Obama pushed for the funding in May last year.
Congress passed it in December.

Trump has nothing to do with getting this done.

STOP LYING!!!!!

It happened on his watch so Trump does get the credit.

Didn't Obama take credit for pulling our soldiers out even though it was part of Bush timeline?

Congress Approved those funds in Dec.

Trump wasn't even in office yet.

Why didn't Obama do this?

He signed the law, on December 16.

According to the law, the city had to apply for the grant and it had to go through the approval process. Once it had, there wasn't a lot more to be said about doing it or not.

Good for Flint but they need to purge all of the corrupt officials involved before anything else happens.

If you'd stop lying then I wouldn't have to call you a liar.

Stop pushing fake news and I won't have to call you a liar all the time.
