Although many disagree with some of the actions the Russians have taken in recent years, myself included, I stand with Russia no matter what.

My reasons are simple really, 50 million soviets gave up their lives to stop the Real Nazi Germany. So much debate could be had about ww2 but the fact is Russia played its part in helping us win the war.

Secondly, do a little research into Mao and when and where he went to school and also into how many chineses starved to death (current pop. of Canada) in order to install his Nazi influenced ideas. This is why "one China" is a joke because the real China was displaced to Taiwan.

So in conclusion, simple logic says Russia has sacrificed a lot, calling Putin "Hitler" is actually a massive insult because of the sacrifices made in ww2, and having Russia and China against us is of a good idea unless you want the video game "fallout" to become reality

So are you just going to gloss over the millions of people that Stalin killed and how Putin disappears political dissidents? You are free to defend Russia any way you want, but your reasoning is AWFULLY revisionist in nature.

You are right, should we condemn the Spanish for murdering 100 million natives too?

This sounds like a rant...

However, I agree that we shouldn't chastise our allies. I've only recently, since 2012 started to get a bigger sense of the overall picture in regards to WW2, looking at other perspectives, it certainly is interesting. It's enough for me to say that I won't be slinging around the whole, US won WW2.

The fact is Russia also won the war but sacrificed its population and money to do so

So this is the yin to the yang.

Instead of the usual "we can't talk about something good America has done because they did this other thing that was bad" now we get the "we can't talk about this bad thing Russia did because they did this other thing that was good."

Good grief.

I do condemn their actions during their colonial days. Slaughtering and enslaving the Americas was one of the worst tragedies committed within the last 1000 years. HOWEVER, those murders are many centuries removed from today. Stalin murdered millions within the last century. Stalin's murders were second only to Mao's.

Murdered is more like it...If you were a Russian solder during WW2 you only had two options...Move towards the Germans and fight or get shot by Russian officers if you attempted to retreat....

Well, to be fair, the "Allies" won the war and Russia certainly was with us in this endeavor. Russia did pay with blood and then some, I give them that respect, as all countries that fought the axis powers.

Yes, or the untold millions of Native Americans died to make America Great. All empires eventually wind up on the ash heap of history. Driven by ambition, greed and lust for power, they always blame their victims and justify their actions behind (insert humanitarian reason here)

So, because Russia did something good 70 years ago that somehow applies to modern day? Mao wasn't influenced by the NSDAP he was influenced by freaking Stalin and his Communist ideology.

And by the way, Russia didnt "play its part in helping us win the war", they freaking won it, because a full 80% of Nazi casualties were on the Eastern Front. Four times that of all other Nazi casualties!

And that is the why it is imperative that you, the most informed generation in history, cash out before America does burn. Ideologies can and have brought a country down before

Yes, it was.

Russia responded during WWII because millions of German troops invaded their country. They did what they did in Vietnam because the US invaded there, too. Syria, Ukraine and Crimea, all defensive posturing to protect their interests.

But a few examples of them reacting to events imposed upon them, first.

It's a very good possibility that if Russia wasn't on the Allies side during WW2, we would all be speaking German right now.
While the Russians sacrificed more than the USA and England did for sure, we can thank Hitler's stupidity in thinking he could beat the Russians in the winter on the Russian Front.
Stalin was by far more brutal to his own citizens than Putin is.
I saw a story one time that said Stalin had executed over 150,000 of his own troops for cowardice in battle, so he was almost as crazy as Hitler.

How about all those Nazi war criminals whose papers we sanitized and put to work on rockets and mk-ultra and banded together with Nazi General Gehlen to create a very paranoid cold war with Russia?

Used all of the above to "justify" nation toppling and we've been at it since. Wait...Who are the good guys in all this, I can't seem to figure it out?

These colors don't run.

The pen is mightier than the sword. Now that I'm awoke from my Matrix bathtub, been freed from my chains in Plato's cave, escaped from the underground colonies in THX1138 and Logan's Run...

Rage against the Machine.
