I think the economy would have surged regardless of who got elected

just out of curiosity was there any reasoning to this or just cause it sounds interesting?

Who said I wanted anything?

All I said was that the person who pointed out that the economy has been improving for the last 4 years and that it seemed logical that this is a continuation if that made a valid point.

You are all over the place with your reasoning. You insisted that Obama handed off a robust economy to trump. Then when I questioned how robust it is and suggested that peoples insurance premiums got high under Obamacare, you replied with Oh trump didn't fix the deficits or the health insurance..... lol.... any way, the revised version of Ocare is being delivered but even Glenn Beck is suggesting that it isn't much different than Obamacare. So we have yet to see realistically.

That was an answer to something somebody else said. That context thing really seems to throw you for a loop.

I was asking if that was the measurement that you were going by then things are the same as a couple months ago so, peoples claims that things are great would be baseless.

So stop trying to act like Trump is solely responsible for these numbers. They're primarily due to the healthy and growing economy that was handed off to him by Obama.

Show me once in Obama's 8 years he had this kind of growth...

The mental gymnastics competition is getting rather complex here.

Good point, all I can remember are multiple summers of recovery that never hit the average American.
But the bankers got rich.

Meh, it's all just coincidence.

Between the stock markets, drop in illegal border crossings, job growth since Jan 20, nothing to see here.

But how bout them Russians, eh?!

Yes Trump sucks and Obama is still virtually President.

But when Obama ran into problems it was all Bush's fault. So any good Obama any bad Bush.

Well,
- Stock markets always go up sooner or later (was told that in this thread)
- How can they say they know how many illegals crossed if they don't count them
- The numbers given by ADP show Obama going over 300,000 twice in his 8 years

Imagine that

Obviously everything good is Obama - look at what his politics did for vfx , automotive accessories, porn and the firearms industry in my home state CA...fckng legislate and tax them extinct....

I don't care if it's consumer confidence or positive reinforcement our president should be promoting jobs and he economy so all you libtards can eat at D's with your snarky self hate of America or whatever your idiocy stems from.

Now I'm off to enjoy a keg or white privelage or two because we are 63% and I love me some democracy 😂

I'm still unemployed and have been looking for work for 9 months. Where is this boom happening? because I am not benefiting from it.

I've laid out plenty of reasoning why I believe that to be true in this thread already. But it's mostly because this is still Obama's economy.

That is not what you said and stop trying to shift it. You said Obama gave Trump a good send off. That would be an indication that you believe the economy to
Have been good while Obama was in charge. Last I checked obama was always blaming bush for bad stuff in his court. Everyone kept saying oh he just needs more time. Now two months into Trumps term his detractors are denying the good he's doing while yet claiming that all
The good is from Obama term. All of this is getting ridiculous.

yes it is
Mostly still. But to be fair there are many programs which were in place by previous administrations.obana just added more overhead. We need to reverse a lot of stuff to bring things back to the way they should be.

We went from the great recession to 84 months of CONTINOUS JJOB GROWTH IN THE PRIVATE SECTOR...The idea that an 85th month of job growth is somehow reflective of Trump in his first month is BS

IT REMINDS ME OF SOMETHING TRUMP RECENTLY SAID...

"Don't believe those phony numbers when you hear 4.9 and 5 percent unemployment. The number's probably 28, 29, as high as 35. In fact, I even heard recently 42 percent."

I personally think the blame Bush excuse got pulled out a bit much. One thing you can lay at Bush's feet though was the terrible economy he handed over to Obama. Just like you can lay the growing economy that was handed off to Trump at Obama's feet.

Also, in reference to a post you made earlier, Obama was not only President for the longest period of sustained job growth he was President for the longest sustained period of job growth in the private sector.

And while the growth of the economy was a bit slow under Obama many economists think that may actually be a good thing as it will lead to a longer period of sustained economic growth and more time before the next recession.

Wow--false dichotomy and false equivalence. Hope you took a quick breather between the two.

If Trump can manage that kind of economy over his tenure then I'll give him props. I'm just not confident he can go that long without breaking something.

This actually made me laugh...and I do agree. His narcissism will constantly make him think that he can do better and better and better and he'll never just let something good just be good--always trying to make things great.
