Just your friendly ats production guy stopping by to assure you that the amount of glitches they seem to be having would have ensured firings a long time ago and would see new people in the helm of the broadcasting of the show. This is not normal for a media corporation of their size and scope. We already know they have an agenda...And the fact this type of thing only happens when someone is going against their agenda is very telling.

And yes, for such a large organization that is all about tech and media, they sure do have a lot of tech glitches occur.

I guess thats my main query
Does this happen all the time and Im just seeing cherry picked examples that fit an anti CNN agenda or have the 4-5 examples Ive seen recently been the only times its happened?
Has anyone been watching CNN and it cut out in the middle of a report on a cat adopting puppies or something harmless like that?

Seems odd and maybe slightly more than a coincidence given the examples Ive seen
They pull this garbage ALL THE TIME. Just go on youtube and sesearching

I dream of the day when I can go workout/exercise without all the gym's TVs set to CNN. I always found it rather orwellian most gym / waiting-room TVs at one time were set to the communist news network? I am not new aged, but puzzled why people want to be bombarded by news while trying to have a positive workout?

I've read from multiple people who work in TV broadcast control rooms that have discussed this on other forums and they came to the same conclusion.. if the studio loses the feed usually what happens is either it goes black or gets stuck on a single video frame or glitches out dropping video frames (voices turning robotic or other odd artifacts), sometimes with digital noise where the data stopped streaming in.
To jump *directly* to color bars almost has to be done by hand and on purpose because the control operator has to insert the graphic into the feed and switch to it. Of course with human error or timing it would take a button flip a few seconds to cue up such a graphic if they notice the feed is dead. To do this instantly almost has to be done on purpose to cut someone off. There are digital video switch boxes that can detect a dead signal and drop out to color bars but they are rarely used for this purpose.
Now combine the improbability of going direct to color bars along with all the cases where CNN has had this "mysteriously" happen at the perfect moment where it looks blatantly obvious that someone didn't want what they said to be heard.
Like others have said in this thread, this is not the first time CNN has been known to do this and with such perfect timing. Also when CNN actually has lost live feeds in the middle of something important where they have no reason to cut someone off for political reasons it usually plays along with the usual issues I just described.. black feed or stuck on a single image.. etc.
I could be wrong of course but I'm just passing along what I have read from others who work in the field of television production.
