Wiretapping is part of surveillance...the fact trump used the term wire tap is irrelevant to the topic, since it is a tool regularly used in surveillance, and the FISA warrant requests stated surveillance.

Several sitting us representatives stated this past weekend this issue will be investigated including Burr and Nunes. So apparently the potus' statement was enough to have the proper people look into the situation.

I don't think (m)any of us are saying that Trump is correct, but that common sense dictates he would not have said this for NO REASON AT ALL. The idea that this is a distraction from Russia ties, I just can't get my head around that.

This is the current party line - Trump has no proof that he was being surveilled, that this is all distraction from his ties to Russia, however we do have evidence that he is colluding with Russia, but we definitely got that without him being surveilled???

How does anyone maintain this circular logic without going dizzy??

It's apparently long enough to make grandiose claims about an ex-President. I'd think that if he is making a claim of the gravity that he is making, he'd have some evidence to support this accusation that he could present.
