I'm brand new to video games, I'm bored with TV and movies, so my friends said Play Video Games!

I've been playing a fighting game (Shadow Fight 2) and have pretty much reached as far as I can go using the buttons on my keyboard so, I got a PS3 controller (Snakebyte) which I was told would work with my PC (running Windows 10).

I tried a few different methods.

Motionjoy: Doesn't work.

Pinnacle: Recognized the controller but no gameplay.

Scp toolkit: Constant vibration, no game play.

Google searches aren't helping and I'm getting pretty tired of installing/uninstalling.

I know there's some video game geniuses here on ATS, help a newbie out!

There is an issue with 10 and controllers. You have to go into device manager and configure and/or disable some of the redundant settings. I'll see if I can dig an solution up.

ETA: Relevant to Motionjoy.

This program seems recommended. I've no personal experience with it however.

I did the whole thing where you enable other drivers already, if that's what you mean.

There has got to be some free software to accomplish this, I'm not trying to spend any money online today.

My mistake, I thought that was only the software.

ds4windows.com...

That is what I use, however I'm using a DS4 on Win 10, there maybe options in there to configure a DS3 controller or it may just work. Check it out.

Tried betterds3.

The only thing that seemed to attach to the contoller was pinnacle and that just gave me non-stop vibration.

Maybe the controller is just a piece of junk?
