I don't disagree....war is an atrocity to visit upon man.

But if we are to be at war, the goal should be to end it the quickest by winning overwhelmingly from the start. It wins today and prevents war tomorrow.

Our war policies have been half assed and lame. Why pick a fight you don't intend to finish?

Hitler lost most of his troops through the harsh weather environment in russia. He got cocky and rightfully lost everything in the process. I'm glad that countries stepped in to stop his madness but a lot of people died on all sides.

The first priority of all world leaders should be preventing that from ever happening again. There are a few dictators who pose a real threat and Trump is not even on the list. I don't know if ATS members follow the news in Germany lately but Erdogan is currently determined to use my country as his personal bitch to collect votes to beccome the supreme leader of Turkey. All eyes should be on him . Merkel is his personal bootlicker and that's disgusting and a disgrace for my country.

I have to agree with Trump on Daesh though. They deserve to be obliterated.

How do you figure? Yes 1939 saw the composition of the Einstein-Szilard letter. But even then the concept of a nuclear bomb was theoretical at the very best.

The problem with Iraq wasn't Obama or not winning the War. We basically had won it and all wars have to end. The problem was the puppet dictator and government that we installed after the war...that's why there are ongoing issues there. A government we put in to push our agenda and to prop up Haliburton and our Oil companies that are still profiting from Iraq.

This post confuses me. Are you trying to argue that Korea and Vietnam were successful military forays? We took a clear L in Vietnam and technically we're still at war in Korea.

It has. Bombs aren't 'surgical'; enemies aren't in hospitals, mosques, weddings or funerals, either.

All that is purposefully designed to sow hate and discontent down range. The more pissed off they become the more likely they will shoot back, the more the propaganda machine needs that to justify more 'war on terror'. Convenient that, war declared not on a country but a figure of speech.
