Middle-earth: Shadow of War Officially Announced

The existence of the squeal to 2014's sleeper hit Shadow of Mordor was leaked yesterday by US retail chain Target who listed the game on its website ahead of it being officially announced , now the game has been officially announced.



Due for release 22nd August on all platforms with a gameplay reveal promised for March 8th.
Looking forward to seeing more , I thought the first one was good but hope this has more variety in both levels and enemies.

Loved the first game, sure it got repetitive after a while but oh well, I can deal with that for a fresh story in Middle Earth.

If they just expand on what they built, add a few new features, more gear to work with and some variety, it'll be a great hit.

I tried to get into Shadow of Mordor... I just couldn't. Something about it.. Dead Souls and Red Dead franchises are the same for me. I love RPG games, but those three franchises just don't really enthuse me. I know that's an unpopular opinion in the gaming community, but... I am more of a Dragon Age, Mass Effect, Fallout, Elder Scrolls and Witcher type RPGer I guess.
Don't get me wrong, I understand the appeal the Shadow of Mordor, Dark Souls and Red Dead franchises have for some,but it's just not there for me. Shrug.

The first one was OK and ill play the 2nd one, Im not sure Id really call it an RPG though.

My RPG style is more towards the Baldurs Gate type thing.
Any of you guys play Planescape Torment?
Its been 20 years but its sequal comes out TODAY!!!!

I had it pre ordered but Ive been told it will be another week or 2 till my copy is in OZ.
Ive already paid for it so I might download a pirate copy later just so I can play tonite, Its been 20 years but I think another 2 weeks would kill me

I agree. However, many label it an RPG, but hell, some try to argue that Call of Duty is an rpg. Lol. I never played Planescape, but I have heard it was a great game. Baldur's Gate was good. Wish they'd remaster it. Of course, I would be remiss to not mention Knights Of The Old Republic.

First official gameplay demo for Shadow of War has been released , the demo shows 15 minutes of gameplay as Talion takes over an enemy fortress and claims a region of Mordor after defeating the Dragon Lord.


My opinion is divided by the trailer.
