Well, at least we know Trump is not working for Satan if the witches are against him.

Witches aren't satanic. At least the Wiccan ones aren't.

Some of them are. I suppose if you look at it through the eyes of a Christian, then anyone who does that kind of stuff is working for the wrong god, any god other than the one they recognize is a creation of Satan.

I know some wiccan people, I even belonged to a site for a while. They tend to be good people and only a small percentage are actually evil or negative. I see more negativity out on the far left than in the wiccan people, the wiccans kind of like to party hardy a lot.

You do realize that "Satan" and you other Christian gods are all in the same pantheon, right? Pagans don't believe in your gods, including Satan. That means, to most pagans, you are much closer to being a Satan worshiper than they are themselves.

Also, there are non-pagan witches. I know of Christian witches, who use the Holy Trinity in place of the Triple Goddess motif. It's weird but kind of cool and I get it.

As far as why you might like "Wiccans" more than liberals in general? That's because Wiccans make up a wide variety of political leanings. Sure, most are liberal but certainly not by an overwhelming majority. But they do care about things that are antithetical to Trump's message so even the most right-winged Wiccan would likely be against Trump.

Also, not all witches are Wiccan. Not even close.

To most Christians, witches would be evil or misled. That is looking at it from the perspective a devout Christian would look at it from. Triple goddess is still using a goddess in place of god or Jesus.

I am not religious, just commenting on how Christians view witches. I know some pagans in person but I do not know of any witches personally that I am aware of. I did know a half dozen or so from belonging to a pagan site, most were friendly and interesting, a few were cranky as hell. I am not against witches, I am just trying to explain it from a christian perspective. I have a lot of friends that are Christians and some friends that are pagans. I do not pick sides in religion.

You are calling christians in general judgmental...It would be more correct if you would put the word "some" or "most" in front.

Not all Christians are that narrow minded and judgmental. Some are accepting of other religions and embrace and learn from different practices.

I know that, but I do know some Christians that are against Witches, My mother was like that. Many of the more strict churches are against witches. Surprisingly the JWs I know just say these people are on the wrong track and do not judge them. It is their job to try to change people not to judge others.

How can this all get any sillier?

Is it even possible at this point?

I wondered the same thing and then this came up. In 30 years I'm gonna be watching a documentary about the 2010's and be reminded of all of this stupidity. Kids being traumatized over Trump's name in chalk, silencing free speech, calling for witches to cast spells, screaming for impeachment before Trump is inaugurated, etc. etc. I wonder if they'll watch such a documentary and realize just how ignorant and childish they looked.

It wouldn't be skewed if it was presented like the ones I watch about the 80's and 90's. They just show events that were recorded pretty much.

I did have most in the post? I would still probably be considered a Christian by some, even though many people would think otherwise. I don't want to be involved in any religion anymore, I believe there is a supreme consciousness and some smaller ones that are part of the main consciousness.... then life itself Which forms this collective consciousness. This kind of sounds like gods and other beings..

God is not limited to humans as the only beings that can comprehend it.

My mother is wiccan, and I'm reasonably certain that she will be contributing to this foolishness.

I just read a twitter post about christians gearing up to counter the witches with prayers to protect Trump. This sounds like a video game. Reality is far more stranger than fiction now. Once again instead of just ignoring the other side to rise above the occasion they engage in another stupidity just to proof a point. Nothing is gonna happen and everybody involved is going to look stupid. Great job humans great job.

Abysha...please reconsider involving yourself in this.
I don't want anything bad to happen to you.

I won't specify, but I sense something very debilitating coming back on to many choosing to participate in this.

“I have a foreboding of an America in my children's or grandchildren's time -- when the United States is a service and information economy; when nearly all the manufacturing industries have slipped away to other countries; when awesome technological powers are in the hands of a very few, and no one representing the public interest can even grasp the issues; when the people have lost the ability to set their own agendas or knowledgeably question those in authority; when, clutching our crystals and nervously consulting our horoscopes, our critical faculties in decline, unable to distinguish between what feels good and what's true, we slide, almost without noticing, back into superstition and darkness...

The dumbing down of American is most evident in the slow decay of substantive content in the enormously influential media, the 30 second sound bites (now down to 10 seconds or less), lowest common denominator programming, credulous presentations on pseudoscience and superstition, but especially a kind of celebration of ignorance”

― Carl Sagan, The Demon-Haunted World: Science as a Candle in the Dark (1994)

Clutching crystals or crosses ... it's the same thing ....

So your heap big magic is better than their heap big magic?

LOL.

Maybe, maybe not.

You might be surprised at which aspect of "the Divine" is associated with Trump, though.

Right right ... they should all get back on their knees right? In prayer?

Go to the church and pretend that the wine and crackers are really blood and flesh?

Yeah, it's the Wiccans who are crazy here ...

Yes, I support you in rights to hold your beliefs as well. And your right to express them.

You do realize, thereby that not everyone believes in the same Divine that you do, right?

The fact that you think that God Almighty is paying special attention to Donald Trump is, in my opinion, irrational even in terms of your own faith, assuming of course you're a Christian.

God is no respecter of persons, you may remember.
