I've been keeping an eye on the situations occurring in California; Oroville, and the flooding in San Jose.
It occurred to me that in both cases, the news about evacuees involves trying to find places for them to stay, and I have to wonder. Why aren't the FEMA camps being put to use? Anyone know why?

They need the fema camps empty for when they round up all the liberals..... or Trump supporters..... or preppers..... or *insert desired undesirables*

Maybe its because they dont want people to see the gas chambers and ovens till its time to fire them up?

The most rational reason I can think of is that it would just make too much sense and the gov cant break with decades of tradition by actually doing something that is logical

Can't find anything on camps, but any large, open place like sports pavilions and the like are the go to places for evacuees.

They [FEMA] are helping us right now with getting commodities into the area like cots, water, blankets, MRE's in those shelters.

What if the fema camps aren't to keep us imprisoned or quarantined but to keep them safe from us? Dun dun dunn

If they are for us in case of emergency, then why can't we have a tour for safety and what to expect in case of disaster purposes?

Do you live in or near San Jose?

I actually live in San Jose. Or... technically... right next door. I'm about a minute or so from San Jose driving. If I were to tell people where I was from, I'd say San Jose because they wouldn't know the city I was from. I wouldn't normally post something so personal, something that tells even this much about myself here, but... there hasn't exactly been a huge number of people moved or anything. Of course, San Jose is a big place so one side of the area compared to the other... can be a big difference... but still. I decided to check into it and the largest number I found was 14,000 evacuated. San Jose has more than a million people. Now, nearly fifteen thousand people is a big number, but... in the big picture... not really... and many have already been cleared to go back home. I don't know about Oroville, but the time between evacuation and being allowed to go back home hasn't been long for the majority of people from San Jose... I'd think it would take many more people or a longer amount of time for camps to be put into use.

That`s the only logical explanation, the camps (if they exist) aren`t big enough to hold all the people (that in theory) would be sent there, but they would be plenty big enough to hold all of the "them" that would need to be kept safe from "us".

yeah like how the saudis are letting all their muslim refugee brothers and sisters from Syria come and live with them.
I guess there actually are some things that even Saudis and liberals won`t do.

yeah stange isn`t it considering they would have to be pretty massive to hold millions of people and would need to be near major transportation hubs, like airports, highways, railraods, etc and yet they remain strangely invisible almost like they don`t even exist.

Yeah....

I've had a migraine for years over the invisible camps...

...The invisibility cloak wearing CIA agent that has been looking in my window and watching me for years creeps me out too...

...Doesn't the guy ever poop?...

I don't live near San Jose but have family living in the area and spent a fair bit of time in the Bay area.
The evacuation area there was comparatively small, but in the case of Oroville the number was approximately 188,000 people evacuated. A bit more significant.
Just seemed rather funny that with all the hoopla over the years that FEMA didn't seem to be involved.

Too be honest I hadn't really paid attention to the camp theory for a while and assumed they would probably exist for a more benign reason.
But after doing some more searching, it does seem that I can't even find one to point at. Which is kind of strange. With everything the US has experienced over the years in the way of natural disasters I would have thought that such emergency facilities would make sense. Oh well, my bad.
