I don't think they're admirers, just hungry lurkers who know I will eventually throw donuts!

You, on the other hand...have many admirers here who are wondering when you're going to write something again.

I tried to respond on my phone using voice typing but when I say "word meister"
it prints out "Old Sheister" and "Oh my stars" and "would if wiser."
Now I'm not as confident they were intended compliments. LOL

Holy Moses WIS.

These winds have had me on edge for over a day.

They oringinaly said it would end at 6pm.

I didn't believe that, because I went onto NOAA and checked out the 2 day forcast.

Then finally, this afternoon they reported it would be extended til tomorrow.

Are these folks just total idiots, or are they just afraid to give us too much info.

It cracks us up. I hang out with Fishing Guides, and we laugh.

Go with the horse's mouth and use common sense.



Justy wanted to add. Your supposedly getting the worse. But I will tell you, the winds I am getting up here are scary. 40-60 mph.

Umm, yeah they were compliments...cuz I said it. I make up words when I can't think of something quite right. (You should write a rhyme about word meister and Old Sheister though, lol!!)

To be honest, these days I worry about that "great light to the south"...I'm only an hour's drive north of the border.

i'd be heavily influenced by the classic Christmas song "Heat Miser/Snow Miser".
Then I'd have to do a video in stop motion characters.
lol So many ideas..so little time.

I only announce "decades" , Starting in my thirties. Thirty plus, Forty Plus, Fifty plus etc.

A couple years ago I encountered a gall, nine months younger than me, who became furious when I said "Oh we are the same age" (Hag voice) "I am not as old as you are. Baffled I wondered if I should throw sand at her.

NOAA is the most accurate but it takes forever to load and doesn't give local alerts. The one I use suites me well. Intellicast.

Yeah we had torrential rain last night with thunderstorms and fierce wind gusts today, I don't know what the speed was but I am grate full it is cold, because they could have whipped up tornadoes.

You are surrounded by trees as far as I recall. Hopefully not pine, their root system is so shallow.
I just do my drill in weather like that. Unplug everything, make sure the cat crates are ready, leave a light on so I can see when we have lost coverage. Have my flash light ready.
Normal stuff.

Oh my gosh.....

Thank you for letting me know I'm am not crazy.

I keep the crates ready to go at all times.

The kittie's are used to playing in them.

If, heaven forbid, we had a tree fall. I think my girls would go into their crates.

But then again who knows. They know what is best for them.

It is one of those things that keep's me up at nite.



And....

I never got to the library. I know..!! I am being a poo head.

Not really. I have been really busy.. I got a new job today. It is a good thing.

This has been a wonderful experience for me. Through ATS I rediscovered my passion for creative writing and this contest has moved writing to the forefront of my creative outlets.

I hope to write novels for the rest of my life. I have new interests in learning how to debate, and to potentially learn how to become a journalist.......

Good morning Shed-dudes & dudettes!

Apparently I have a list of things to accomplish today so I won't be in Shed-land until later.

I hope everyone is having a good day, decent weather and not too many aches and pains. I had a dream last night that somebody stole Sophie and I was crying and looking for her. When I woke up I ran to her house and had to check that she was still there, lol.

Will be back later to catch up and read stories (looks at Shred...just do it!!!)
