Thank You CR!

So do I, and with Ali Price looking good as stand in scrum half, and Hogg, Russell and Maitland all fit.... we just might still be able to spring a surprise or two!

England are getting just a bit too good at grinding out results though...

Whoever wins, the atmosphere is always electric be it at home or away. You don't get that in Football.
Me, My Mrs is Glaswegian so it can get a bit fraught.

American Football is a more violent game and they wear protection because of it.

You don't see what goes on in the scrum and sometimes the referee doesn't either...

I'll never forget the World Cup final between SA and England in 2007. I was watching here in Canada at SA friends and there was a Brazilian friend of theirs mouthing off about how much more brutal American Football was. I burst out laughing at this comment. Needless to say, at half time he came over to me and said he took his words back, and these guys were killing each other. He couldn't understand why the referee allowed this to continue. To which I replied, this is rugby dude, it's normal.

I would love to see a Rugby match between REAL rugby players and American football players all kitted out...

Now THAT would be fun?

haha!
"whupping"?
We lost our captain & best scrum-half, (not to mention our best goal kicker) early on, and our vice captain and 3 front rowers soon followed... away from home... and we were still right in the match with less than 5 mins to go...
"whupping"? Nah! LOL More like the usual hard-luck story... plucky losers blah blah bleeeuuch!

Anyway, no complaints - I actually thought France v Scotland was a really good match, congrats to the missus!

Bring on Wales! No Problem.

SCOTLAND 29 - 13 WALES

What can I say...?
Very, very proud of a stubborn, confident Scotland team who just won't lie down to anyone, even a BRILLIANT Wales team who were on top in the first half.

I do genuinely think that we now have a chance against England.

Look at that score! (20-0 in the 2nd half!!)

Very happy man tonight.

Well done boyo...and thank you for keeping me updated whilst I was teaching....
Think Wales should have stayed at home or somebody put something in their drinks at half time...very disappointed.

Thanks Jane,
I know that you missed the best parts of the match for Wales - they honestly did very well for most of the first half and I was genuinely VERY worried going into half-time. But... Scotland stepped things up 2nd half and Wales just couldn't get into it.
It is a measure of my respect for Wales how happy I am for Scotland tonight.

Edit to add: The Rockets must have worked!!
Final Score...

England 36 - 15 Italy.

You alright there fella? LOL
How was your underwear at half-time on Sunday??

"...ees just a tackle... no ruck... no offside... ees just a tackle... I am referee not your coach!..."

Brilliant stuff, and to be fair... I thought that the Italian tactic of not joining the ruck was genius for throwing England off their game plan. They did look totally confused for quite some time!!

Probably learned their lesson now and we Scots will get the backlash a week on Saturday is it?
