I totally agree! I'm not a huge Trump fan but I am slowly warming up. The thing that has turned the tides for me is the anti-Trump people who, instead of focusing on bigger picture issues, constantly pick apart the minutiae of 'he lied about electoral college votes' or 'He lied about more people attending his inauguration '. Give me a Break!

I have pretty much stopped responding to Trump supporters regarding politics because I have found it pointless. They are too closed and narrow minded and it feels like arguing with a door. But since you claim to on the fence I hope that maybe you will read this and at least acknowledge some what I am trying to say.

You said that anti-Trump people focus on the the little details and don't focus on the bigger picture. I do not find that to be an accurate statement so maybe those are just the things that you hear or choose to see because I am going to list the big picture things that you should be worried about and that scare the F out of me. But first I will say that it is important to correct him on everything no matter how big or small because when he makes false claims and states untrue facts somebody has to set the record straight or people will honestly believe him and could start potentially spreading those lies. Or formulate an opinion based of something other than the truth. Also, if he can comfortably lie about small things and easily debunked statements and stats that you can find out with just a simple google search should be an indication that he would lie about almost anything ESPECIALLY if his ass is on the line, like a potential indictment.

Now for the big picture. His constant bashing of the press and vocally trying to discredit them to the public should scare everybody. Because like John McCain said "That's how dictators get started." To put it in a context that even a far right winger would understand it is an attack on our Constitution and our right to free speech. So if you have ever thought that it is your right to bear arms and that no government can take that away from you. Then you should see his statements in the same way you see people who want to ban and outlaw guns. Only trust me when I say, the freedom of speech is far more important than carrying fire arms. I mean seriously he said all negative polls is fake news and all negative press must be fake news too. He has a serious problem with any one who challenges or disagrees with him.

The number one thing that concerns me is his potential ties to Russia. I think we need a full blown investigation into his affiliation with Russia and the information found in the leaked dossier report. Because even the most loyal Trump fan must admit that even without an investigation things look a little fishy. First of all some of the claims in the dossier have already been confirmed as true so that gives some credibility the the rest of the report. Also, we have heard Trump make negative comments and condemn other countries through either press releases or tweets for a range of different things some more serious then others. We have heard make negative comments about Mexico, Australia, Iraq, China and North Korea. But we have Russia Firing missiles breaking our Cold War agreements and has a Spy ship in our waters 30 miles off the coast but all he has to say in this press conference is "not good." Seriously? That's all he has to say? That seems very un-Trump like of him. Plus we all know that this is not good, but what are you going to do about it? I just feel like all of the signs point to some suspicious stuff going on. Not to mention Flynn and other reports coming out regarding his cabinet. So he can disagree and discredit the news by calling it "Fake" but what about the Intelligence community.

His down right disrespect and disregard for the law. Look at what he has to say about our judges and the judiciary system. The guy is a joke. Most of his cabinet selections have all been grossly unqualified, corporate scum, rich Republican donors or all of the above.

It's time we quit worrying about what other countries think.

I am sorry but we should always care what other countries think. We share this globe with our fellow brothers and sisters of the human race, and we should be respectful to their thoughts, customs, and cultures. We should care even more about our neighbors to the North (Canada) and the South (Mexico). Because we share the same continent and for that we are all Americans. I feel like people (especially our President) forget about that fact, that North America is a continent and the U.S is just one of its occupants.

Now the biggest thing that should concern people is his opinions on climate change. This is a real problem and we need to do something, if anything can be done, to try to help and reverse the effects for our children and future generations. If the global super power that is the U.S.A doesn't lead the efforts than it will truly be A catastrophe.

You find yourself being scared because someone says a prayer to themselves while in the meantime your party members are assaulting innocent people each and everyday while they hold signs that say "peace,love and tolerance". But it scares you to see someone say a prayer.. right.

And then you simply asume they are not really religious (well that should be a load of your shoulders then shouldn't it since religious people scare you much) and then proceed to criticize them for your made up assumption that they are not religious. So you end up criticizing them for being religious, not being religious and being deceitful which in turn was based on nothing at all.

I was thinking about posting a picture of someone making a prayer but thought it would be best not figuring it would be to much for you to handle. I would not want to be responsible for your heart attack.

Let me get this utterly straight. The President permits what proved to be a half cocked mission, in which non combatants were killed by the dozen, in which unit members died, and the best you can say about it is "Well, at least he did not lie about it".

Yes he did. He lied about whether it was a success or not. It was not. The idea that this was an intelligence gathering raid is frankly ridiculous. You do not gather intelligence using assault squads. You gather intelligence with dedicated intelligence operatives, embedded so well into local populations that no one has a clue they are infiltrated. You do it with communications and signals intelligence apparatus.

This mission was a botch from the beginning.

Either, the mission was actually supposed to be a kill or capture mission, with the big name being the target (which is what I suspect), but should never have been enacted because their was insufficient intelligence to commit that level of resource, OR the mission was an intelligence gathering mission, on which no SEAL team should have been sent worth a crap. I recognise and appreciate the level of commitment and dedication that SEAL operators are famous for, and understand that there are few groups on the face of the Earth to match them, in terms of what they are capable of.

But they are NOT intelligence operators, they are warfighters. You do not send warfighters to do the work of spies, nor send spies to do the work of warfighters. They are separate fields of specialisation for a very good reason, and this utter clusterbang is a fantastic example.

1) many non-political events open with the Lords's Prayer (many NFL players recite at the end of the games, but the tv people stopped showing). 1st amendment means freedom of religion, not 'you can't practice in public'.

2) many States of the Union open with prayer. so do most sessions of congress (none covered by the media of course).

3) at the request of Benjamin Franklin, the Constitutional Convention opened with prayers.

4) the event in question was a Trump rally, by and for Trump supporters, thus basically a private event.

part of me wonders if the Trumpeters added the prayer just to tweak the haters.
