Yes they could have chosen to try to save the Jews.
What do you think would have happened if they had taken that course of action?
Sorry but they were under occupation by a foreign hostile government and chose to follow orders instead of getting their country destroyed.
Germany was coming for foreign Jews and we're rounding up French Jews after that.

This reminds me of France during WW2. The rounding-up of the Jews began with the non-citizens.
Have we begun our own "rafle"?
Spammy reference to get people to believe immigration law enforcement is automatically "Nazi".

Chess pieces sacrificed during a time of war.
A choice they would not have made in peacetime.

What's disturbing is that the previous administration didn't take actions to deport murderers and criminals that were here illegally.
I'd have to question the motivation of any ideology that would encourage murderers and criminals to live freely in our society.
The Nazi party started off as a 'socialist' platform to gain votes, promising jobs and economic growth after a harsh time when the world $%#@ on them after WW1.
When they got into power it quickly went from a slight liberal party to extremely alt right blaming immigrants and criminals of all classes for stealing jobs, mainly the Jews.
It's just a little fishy how it's all come sort of full circle back to something we as human beings tried to avoid so much, blaming and finger pointing and hate mongering.

A sick comparison, it's nothing like rounding up legal Jewish citizens for slaughter in WW2, unbelievable!! a reply to: introvert

It started with the criminals, 'corrupt' politicians and the illegals.
I doubt it will get to a point where they start rounding up all sorts of legal people, but it's happened before.

Why not just round up all the 'non immigrant' criminals and throw them out as well?

that`s exactly what it is, a very transparent attempt to derail, deflect, and prevent discussion of the actual topic.

Maybe not a bad ideal since the Mexican government is falling apart.

I can't believe that there are so few people left in this country with the ability to think things through to their logical conclusion, that the question so seldom comes up...
...Once you start this type of thing, where does the thing stop?...
I think it's going to be like in the past, where many (most) are left without anyone to speak out for them when the thugs come banging down the door.
There is a reason the rest of the world considers America to something of a joke you know?, and you who support this nonsense more than likely cannot see it through your rose colored "exceptionalist" glasses.
Enjoy...
