I think she said it because they were contemplating banning her from the network. I believe this came almost immediately after that.

If "You are fake news!" was just an opportunistic insult rather than a considered policy position, then departing from it is not really a big deal, whether this was co-ordinated or not.

A lot of those claims are not based in reality and don't stand up to in-depth analysis. No doubt you believe in every single one. Correct? No doubt you will be telling the forum that Hillary Clinton did green screen and CGI during her election campaign.
