From your link...

Since Trump’s election, we’ve seen dozens of demonstrations

the trouble is that these protests are too easily ignored and forgotten

Ya think maybe the first statement explains the second? Ya think maybe these protests are forgettable because there is nothing substantial to them and they have become a-dime-a-dozen?

Every other week I'm hearing about another "important" protest.

Personally, my wife and I worked very hard to get to a place where we've created a nice little life for ourselves and our son. If those people who are marching up and down the street (in between setting things on fire) would put some energy into finding gainful employment..... eh, you know where I'm going with this.

I will offer this piece of unsolicited advice to some of those that are contemplating not showing up for work... in particular those in the lesser skilled jobs..... You may want to think twice before giving your employer a reminder of just how unnecessary you are. I could definitely be wrong but my suspicion is that the people that will participate in this are a robot, touch-screen or AI away from being unemployed as it is. Take this energy and use it to learn and/or grow in your profession and/or start a career.

Yea, forgot about that..

Guess, on the flip side, with them burning all those cars, it means they stand the chance to find an IED, and take themselves out before innocents get hurt.

Win win?

This is the first I've ever heard of it.
And I read some pretty darn liberal news.
Seems like more conservative fear mongering/hype to me.

Poor dears...it really seems to make the Trumpkins feel sad.

That seems to happen a lot.

Links are usually to Breitbart or some other Right Wing Rag.

Then you have to go in search of the truth - - which is usually not even close to what the Right is pushing.

Eventually a Democrat will get into office again (I think).

If I were the democrats, I would pray that the deplorables in fly over country don't take a cue from this whining and decide to take a few days off themselves.

The world will get on without the campus protestors and fast food workers for a long time.

Lets see how those "blue islands" of the US do when the ocean of red takes the day off.

Well I guess these workers most enjoy welfare checks too, if they can get off work and go protest.

Interestingly I don't eat fast food and will not miss old big mac at all.

Let me know when these idiots stop attacking Starbucks and ATM machines and start burning books.

So apparently it will be difficult to get a Big Mac or other fast food on February 17th if any of these people follow through, however, I am not too worried that this will have any true impact. Working people are generally Trump supporters so it is unlikely that anyone will notice.

No

The people on food stamps and that rely the most on welfare are people in red states.

97 out of the 100 poorest counties are in Republican states.

Why not, what else do these people have to do? Me, I'll be at work.

is this kinda like the coup d'etat the dems are planning, or when they were going to keep trump from the being sworn in, or etc...

the Trumpaholics are just on edge and quick to bite anything or any hyperbole to make the left look even more like the idiots they turned themselves into. the breath of fresh air under trump hasnt been so 'fresh' yet, so any mistakes, slip ups or misspelled words are quickly pounced on (aka 5 out of 10 new threads).

i predict a pocket of protesters here and there. America needs its daily dose of big macs.

Just like the lead-up to the illegal invasion of Iraq or the streets of LA in 92, protests and riots achieve precisely # all when the US government is in anyway involved.

On Feb 18th, Trump will still be president and his policies will continue to be rolled out - mark my words.

Why do you assume I think it's fake news or something simply because I haven't heard about it?

If this is real, it certainly isn't being promoted.

The usual liberal outlets that cover this type of thing aren't.
