The US has filed an appeal against a Seattle judge's block of US President Donald Trump's executive order that prohibited people to travel to the country from seven Muslim-majority countries, Reuters has reported.
It is clear he has the authority to issue the EO.

It is clear he has the authority to issue the EO.
Of course he has the authority to issue the EO. That does mean it will stand up in court.
Remember Obama's immigration EO? The one that didn't stand up in court? He had the authority to issue it, right?

Trump will push it to the supreme court, but not until he gets his candidate to the bench sworn in.
So, Trump will control the SCOTUS?
You really think so?
Trump is waiting to put a man with a strong dedication to the rule of law on the bench that understands the constitution as it is written and won't legislate from the bench.
The Justice Department is expected to file its brief laying out its legal argument later Saturday night to the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, which will hear the appeal. The three judges who will likely hear the appeal -- assuming no one has to step aside over any conflicts -- are: Judge William Canby, who was appointed by President Jimmy Carter; Richard Clifton, who was appointed by Bush; and Michelle Friedland, a President Barack Obama appointee.

I think President Trump will move it along very quickly. It is clear he has the authority to issue the EO.
This just shows that the entirety of the US is fragmented in all three branches.
All of those branches need a heavy pruning.
