I agree with that.

I don't have a political party. Yet I have always voted for a major party because I feel any other vote is a waste, part of the scam of modern democracy but that's a whole other thread.

ALS

This is how I've always felt. Political parties are far too binary to accurately categorize something as complex as an individual's mind/personality. I was raised in a pretty 'leftist' household, and to this day I still retain many of those values, but there are a few small things I'll always disagree with my family on, namely firearms; most of my family were always against gun ownership, but I always agreed with it for as long as I can remember, which left me feeling like a confused leftist in my adolescence and early adulthood. I felt like I belonged to this one particular party, but at the same time I also felt like some parts of me didn't belong to it. Life seems to get less 'black-and-white' as you get older.

Side note: I actually found it a little puzzling that the political compass test didn't ask any questions about firearms opinions at all.

Anyways, just finished my test. My results are quite similar to yours, ALS.

You are an individual! Just as God created you to be. It's the beauty of life.

What "wing" Am I?

I believe you are still seated in Platos Cave, fixated in shadow play in firelight on the cave wall.

Be human, throw off the cloaks of all those beliefs, isms and main stream conditioning.

Be yourself. Stand for nothing.

To be fair, they are only my external beliefs, the beliefs I use to integrate and converse with those who are not part of my inner circle.

My code, as apposed to my external beliefs, are as such:

-Protect my wife and children, no matter the cost.

-Provide for my wife and children, no matter the cost.

-Protect my own survival, except when it conflicts with the first two.

-Be a good and honourable man, except when it conflicts with the first three.

No political, economic or ideological whims will ever be above those codes.

Why do you feel that you need a category?
A label will not change who you are or give your life meaning.
Just role with being unique.

Why do you want people to assign you a cozy little box?

Be happy with who you are and don't get caught up in such things as "what" you may be.

Is there an easier test? The first question has me stumped already and I consider myself fairly educated. What's economic globalisation? And I've no idea what trans-national corporations are either.

They are local businesses that identify as global corporations... Ya know, for the gibs.

still cannot copy or upload pics on an iPad 😡

I ended up in the middle of the green square, slightly down and left of the centre of the green.

Cool test.

I used to be right libertarian on this test. Too much data and too many studies have swayed me. My sympathies to austrian economics remain but sociological and economic data have been taking its toll.

You are not a wing - you should form a political party or run as an independent - I would vote for you if I was British

Who do I believe? Myself or a bunch of people on a screen

Eat more Baba Ganoush - believe in the mighty eggplant, worship Tahini sprinkled with Cummin - taste the bitter acidity of Lemon - dwell in the house of Olive Oil.

Baba Ganoush transcends politics

I looked into where I would fall on the US political spectrum, I seem to fall under being a liberal, which seems to be a dirty word on this site. This site has become more and more right wing over time, but maybe that just reflects the politics of the majority American membership.

Except human.

Pleased to meet ya...

I have a similar problem. I am pretty conservative in my religious beliefs. Since my eyes have been opened to the corruption of our corporatocracy and evil big banks, I am less fiscally conservative than I used to be; still, I am not a socialist. I believe that a hugely neglected part of a Christian's duties is to steward the animals we domesticate in a humane and responsible manner, therefore I am an animal rights activist and a vegetarian (in protest of factory farming). I believe we have terribly neglected our beautiful planet and so I am a staunch environmentalist and advocate for green energy.

On every test I have ever taken I fall right smack in the middle. From where I stand everyone I know is an extremist. There is NO PARTY which represents my views. Still as a centrist I can't help but think my views are the most reasonable.
