No this is not proof of liberals being against vetting. I don't believe that was the point of the OP. The point is that Canada rejected millions of people with not only no outrage, but people praising Canada as a liberal haven.

So I answered your point, will you answer mine?

If liberals agree with vetting as you say, why are they getting so outraged and hysterical over Trumps increased vetting? Its not like they are having a reasonable discussion about how much vetting is enough, they are screaming things like its fascist, racists, and the beginning of the end of America.

Thanks. Were those US numbers only? If so, in 2015 the USA rejected a little over 3.1 million visa applications. That's a lot more than Canada's 1.4 million.

The temporary ban is pointless and is only causing harm, it included current visa, green card holders as well as permanent residents... those are people that have already been vetted and LIVE in the United States. The ban does not include nations where there is known heavy terrorist activity that have actually had nationals come to the US and have carried out terror attacks on US soil. The banned nations have not had any person originating in those nations carry out a terror attack on US soil.

I think Murphy is not saying we shouldn't vet, he is saying the europe waiver program has almost no vetting, so we should focus on it first.

Although it is a confusing statement.

Since, as a U.S. Senator he represents his state, and was elected based upon the voters of his state, she must be calling the entire state idiots. After all, this is one man representing an entire state.

I agree with some of what you are saying, but I have almost no problem with the halt (not ban) of people from these countries.

But you are making reasonable arguments here. That is not what all of the people on all of those links I gave you are doing.

They are screaming "Racism! Fascism! Impeach him!" Some people are suggesting military coups, or violence against him.

That is what is outrageous.

You seem to be saying you think this policy will be ineffective and causes an undue burden on innocent people. I may disagree with you, but those are reasonable arguments.

The OP is pointing out the hypocrisy to the crew shouting things like "No borders" or claiming that not allowing these people in is racist, and yet praising Canada who also denies millions of people the right to enter.

So I will ask you again, do you find the reaction of the people I cited to you to be hysterical and over the line?
