Ear warmers on the Honor guard

The Title says it all.



Hey, i'm all for warm ears for everybody...

But i have to admit to see them on an honor gard a eeehmm... a bit funny

Lol, I'm ex Royal Navy Reserve and carried out full time reserve service but we never had ear warmers!
See how well funded your armed forces are...we can only dream of such luxuries!

Wait a minute, with all due respect to the US they are not mine armed forces.

I'm Dutch.. and had my far share of guard duty in my army time... But never had ear warmers either!

Of course it would just be the squids.

I'm a little surprised the airforce manned up though.

im not sure why they are wearing them there. but there are times when ear muff are 'Wear' if you were stationed in great lakes you know, or on early winter months in VA, or if you are stationed around Germany or Transit the baltics then yea... numb ears can be extremely painful as you get blood flowing back.

Not that I'm a conspiracy theorist, or anything of the sort, but I suggest those 'ear-warmers' are covering something up like pointy ears.

Or maybe they're reptilian and have no ears.

Perhaps they came off a production line like paper-chain men and the ear muffs are hiding the scar from where they were cut apart. I suspect they'll have scars on their hands, too. Notice they're wearing gloves.

Perhaps you are here to throw us off the scent with your suggestion of ear muffs. Perhaps they are headphones connecting the wearers to their mothership.

Or perhaps they are incubating water snail eggs

excuse the hell outta me, I was in the Air Force, and I remember every time on guard duty, and never ever having ear warmers. Check yourself on those comments there boy, just cause it has air force in front of it, doesn't always mean soft. I don't know what branch you're from, but your ignorance is showing.........

I have marched in 2 inaugural parades. What people don't realize is that the night before the inauguration, you get on a bus at 2:30AM, sit in the pentagon parking lot for a few hours, and then get dumped onto the mall at around 5AM. And that's where you stand and wait until the parade begins. You're in uniform, so you don't have a backpack with you or extra clothes if it's cold (it's always ass cold), or a lunchbox, or a phone, or ANYTHING...you literally stand around for 7+ hours, waiting.

So, it gets pretty freaking cold. Being able to wear those ear warmers is a bigger deal to those guys than you know. Tiny comforts.....
