Nobody is trying to shut down the press coverage of Trump. The media is just so dishonest, puts out so much fake news, and is nothing but liberal propaganda. That's what is not a good thing for our country. If the media would just actually report the news, rather than be the purveyors of liberal hysteria, we would all be much better off.

I don't know, it doesn't seem like hysteria to me, it just seems like the truth. The media are liberals, clearly they are part of the opposition to Republicans, which is why their "news" coverage is so dishonest. I do agree Bannon has a big mouth, but most of what he says is accurate.

guys i'm real confused about something
can someone just quickly explain to me why so many of you are talking about The Press like they're some sort of unified party, some monolith of enforced views all marching in lockstep
when in actuality
every publication makes decisions themselves on what to write and how to write it
and actually all viewpoints are represented in the media
like??? there is a disconnect here i am not getting???

Well I think the farthest things go as far as I can trace is to the video of the CNN reporter who was told Trump would not answer their question and almost threw CNN out of the press conference. If Trump's behavior continues down this path, it would be limiting the media access to him. He has also put gag orders on thousands of scientists, including from the EPA. He won't let the EPA release research data until it is gone through political reviews to make sure that no science that could harm Trump will harm him.

These actions are the ones I'm talking about - Trump is already limiting access to the press. There was one other article...

No, when the media laid down on the Iraq war( the original sin of our generation) thoughtful people, particularly from the left, denounced them.
