Theresa May will say that Britain and America can “rediscover our confidence” and “lead together again” in the wake of Brexit and the election of Donald Trump.

The Prime Minister will address the annual congressional Republican Retreat in Philadelphia and say that the UK and USA will “renew the Special Relationship” now that President Trump is in the White House.

...

The two leaders will hold talks in the Oval Office and are expected to discuss plans for a major post-Brexit trade deal.

It sounds to me like Theresa May is referring to a new new world order which would be a reforming of the old world order?
That's exactly what I've always felt the NWO was anyway. How could anyone believe that the NWO was really something new when the same old families and groups were staying in control the whole time?

Regardless of semantics, I see all of this as being positive for the world. I believe religion makes a one-world government impossible regardless of how much of an idealist you are.

Another interesting aspect of all this is the role that the United Nations will have in America and Britain leading together again. It seems to me that the United Nations wouldn't have any role in that.

Donald Trump dismisses the United Nations as a 'club' for people to 'have a good time'

Eh, I think globalization ties in more with the idea of the NWO. They want to centralize government and seeing as Britain just gained more sovereignty while Trump claims an isolationist platform I fail to see the connection.

The NWO is the acquisition of global power into a single body (the U.N., led by the EU leaders). Trump and May are seemingly going against this agenda, so I really don't see how they are playing into the NWO? Maybe it's some sort of double secret agent thing going on, but I doubt it.

If May thinks Americans will join Britain, then they are just dreaming of the old British Empire. If the British Empire rise again, there will be rebellion and the entire world will be against it.

I seriously can't tell if this is going to be World War America, World War Britain or World War West.

As if Britain doesn't possess huge American assets. Look at the banking structure.

This is good news. Brits and Yanks are BFFs. Now, get Japan in on the deal and we are flanked with friends with a way in to both the east and west if need be.

Yes, but thats contractual. I am talking more a unification of the three...Its time for a new "NATO" like alliance between like minded cultures.

Haha I hope not. Being friends is great, alliances create rifts and power shifts in geopolitics demanding something to balancing thus creating an environment for tension.

Dude Japan is nothing like The West. The Laws are different, culture is different, everything about it is different.

Respectfully, I would disagree. Their history is very different from the West, but their modern culture is very Americanized. Granted I haven't been to Japan, but I do watch a lot of Japanese wrestling, anime, shows, porn. Their culture seems very conservative, nationalistic, anti-globalism, which goes right along with Brexit and Trump. And they hate China. Japan is the perfect Pacific ally/friend for the U.S. and Britain, WW2 is long gone.

What would we be facing with a new world order led by a body like the United Nations?

UN elects Saudi Arabia to Human Rights Council, oversight on women’s rights

I'll take a new new world order with the U.S. and Britain leading the way over that every time.

That's only way one that an NWO could happen. An NWO led by Britain and the United States is another possibility.

Philip K. Dick gave us another example of how it could happen in his book The Man in the High Castle.

In the novel's parallel history, U.S. President Franklin Roosevelt was assassinated by Giuseppe Zangara on February 15, 1933, leading to the continuation of the Great Depression and U.S. isolationism during the opening of World War II. Adolf Hitler led Nazi Germany to conquer most of Europe and the Soviet Union, murdering Jews, Roma, Slavs, and other groups. Meanwhile, Imperial Japan occupied China, before taking control of India and Oceania. The Nazis then helped Italy conquer most of Africa. As Japan invaded the U.S. West Coast, Germany invaded the U.S. East Coast and most of South America. By 1947, the U.S. and the remaining Allies surrendered to the Axis, ending the war.

By the 1960s, Imperial Japan and Nazi Germany are the world's competing superpowers, with Japan establishing the "Pacific States of America" (P.S.A.) from the former Western United States, with the remaining Rocky Mountain States now a neutral buffer zone between the P.S.A. and the Nazi-occupied former Eastern United States.

itler, though still alive, is incapacitated from advanced syphilis, and Martin Bormann has become Chancellor of Germany, with Goebbels, Heydrich, Göring, Seyss-Inquart (who oversees the extermination of the peoples of Africa), and other Nazi leaders soon vying to take his place. The Nazis have drained the Mediterranean to make room for farmland, developed and used the hydrogen bomb, and designed rockets for extremely fast travel across the world as well as space, having colonized the Moon, Venus, and Mars. The novel is set mostly in San Francisco in the P.S.A.; here, Chinese residents first appear in the novel as second-class citizens and black people as slaves.

What she means is we'd better run screaming with our hands out to the only ally with any power we have left. Sensible play really.

The UK in the EU has watered down the UKs global "soft power" status. It has allowed British politicians to abdicate responsibility to the EU foreign policy that has been a bit weak and confused. Brexit (like it, or lump it) is forcing the UK to consider old ties that they have neglected, either because of the EU's conflicting demands, or because the UK has just been apathetic.

It's not just the US in the equation. There is the Commonwealth out there and other countries too. There is a world of opportunity, although Trump may prove a complicated friend.

Personally, I am looking at tariff-free Antipodean wine.

The culture is different, the laws are similar, the values are similar in most important areas. I think you may be thinking about china or other asian nations. Japans been under US occupation for like 70 years now. Its the most westernized asian nation.

I'm sure we all remember the last time the US and UK "enjoyed" a "special relationship"?

So what she means is we'll follow America into pointless and illegal wars? That's what happened last time....

Lol, you don't see Japan having mass violence compare to Americans nor does the city people act the same as Americans. They are more united compare to America. If you think Technology and laws is a form of westernization then your wrong there. China has the same technology, you don't see them having the same value as Americans. Japan is so different it is more closely related to Hong Kong for the most part of it with Neon signs.
