Oh. That makes a big difference. So you meant the forerunner to the modern GRU (which came into being in May 1992), the previous agency being around long before then.

So, if you were referring to the Main Intelligence Directorate's agents under the Soviets, not the post-Soviet (modern) GRU, then I have to concede your claims for aiding defectors. I don't have to believe you worked in that role, but I will concede you could have done.

This might be possible for smart phone cameras that have built in GPS.

Correct.... a weak point of mine...... all my phones IPADS, laptops etc....MUST have GPS. Its a thing with me....

turn gps/location tracking off on your iPhone. take photo.
pull out the gps dongle on laptop. take photo.

I know, super hi tech stuff, most people would never get it.

I know I didn't do that on my samsung, and was surprised to find in google, my flight to LAX last year was tracked. Was kinda nice to see that, after I came home.

Yes, this thread was moved by ATS staff the the Gray Area because the OP's experiences center around the personal, which can be difficult to corroborate. (BTW the thread was not moved by me!) SkunkWorks is used for similar threads where the matters are not personal-experience based but may be equally difficult to corroborate or even believe.

Sometimes it can take a while to clarify things. But I think the OP has been pretty civil by modern internet standards and I've tried to do the same. I read nothing that insulted me personally. In fact, I've just conceded my main point of contention to the OP on the basis of their clarification. And I have no problem with doing that.

Well, to be fair to the OP, Rhein-Main AB (USAF) was located in Frankfurt and was located on the southern side/end of what's now Frankfurt International Airport. And that base was in use for about 60 years, from the end of WWII until 2005 or so.

Heaven only knows what kind of digging etc might have been done within that base's grounds.

So, though it might be hard to believe I am not going to argue that one. I protested about the OP's mention of it as "deflection" but that's not the same as saying it ain't true. I was looking at another point at the time (which I've now conceded) but the fact is, we don't know if there are any deep vaults/bunkers somewhere under Frankfurt or not.

A US base was there for six decades. Plenty of time to do stuff like that.

Photos are hardly proof of anything...especially on the internet. People who demand photos as proof are confusing it with evidence, and that occurs on a routine basis here. If you want to PM me with a link to your photo, I'll post it for you. I'd personally like to see any evidence that you've got. I don't require it in order to believe you, but if you've got something, I'm sure others would like to see it too.

You can remove most of the exif data out of the image file.

With surviving so many "accidents"...maybe you should consider making some stories public before they succeed.

Edit: Stop drinking on ATS (or anywhere else) if you're diabetic.

You are right about drinking..... I don't do it that often .... two maybe three times a year.... I self medicate with marijuana for pain.

As far as accidents I can not see them in the future....

I can see when something is attached to you...... like an insect or parasite..... mostly attached to people's necks, shoulder and backs.....
