It's time to realise that those types of behaviors dont make a man a man.

to at least partially
settle this matter

I saw a lot of interviews... there was no consistent message. This was a mish mash of organisations that banded together to march for their own idea on what might be bad in the future, on the off chance that it actually happened. All focused on Trump, despite the vast majority of the issues having nothing to do with anything Trump said.

Mass triggering perpetrated by the media and those people behind the scenes that funded the day.

I'm pretty sure our Narcissist Cheeto Monster also thought it was exclusively about him.

Then why march now? Why not march during Obama's 8 years when all of this was not being looked at or worked on to change? If you peel that onion back it boils down to the left not getting their first Mdam President....

Have you seen who's in the White House and in Trump's cabinet?!

Are you just trolling us with that question or was it rhetorical?

This is when it will have the most impact. We just hired a new guy who couldn't even pass all the prerequisite screening and HR has already complained about him. This is our way of saying "here's what you are totally ignorant of and what you need to look at".

Or maybe better to realise that all men will never be the same, and neither will all women. We are all individuals and unfortunately for you we can't all be made to be the same way in order to fit a feminists view of the world.

And yet, if everyone thinks alike, it stifles those who don't fit in by ostracizing them.

Here is something I have never been able to get, and it is quite common -

People who want to experience being individualistic ; they value this, they nurture it, they strive to form their personality and life style.
But then

They are always the first to complain that others who choose to experience collective solidarity instead shouldn't because it creates a sense of being ostracized, rejected, or otherwise not accepted.
???!!!!

Um... are you sure of what you want?? Or is there some other way you can help me understand wanting to be an individual, but also NOT wanting to be recognized as such by your surrounding community?

I realized long ago I have an addiction to independence, which is part of why I repeatedly put myself in contexts where I knew I would not be accepted by those around me. I tend to watch the groups around me with admiration and occasionally a wistful desire to fit in and join, but my conditioning or whatever always answers with clear preference for being solitary.

The truth is, from this separated state, I can better observe the group. As one would watch art - dancers, musicians, I observe not with bitter objection because I am not doing it with them, but a sort of awe and appreciation. Like ballet dancers, I was not willing to accept the negative side (hard long training, bloody toes...) but that doesn't mean I can't appreciate their choice.

I see it this way. So I do not understand the complaint that people making the choice to be part of a collective effort/entity makes them feel left out... when they value and prefer to be out..

Thats a new reason - do you make these up as you go along? I think I have heard over 100 different reasons for the protest now, which goes to show there was no real underlying reason.

In her book Against Purity: Living Ethically in Compromised Times, Alexis Shotwell argues that “personal purity is simultaneously inadequate, impossible, and politically dangerous for shared projects of living on earth.” Focusing on maintaining your own innocence or goodness is counterproductive, she says, to actually fixing the world’s problems.

LOL!!

I'm a woman. Mother of two millennials. How does it feel to be treated like a lesser person?

Ask me!

And I'm not "bleeding out my wherever" --- all done with that.

I'm not saying that Soros doesn't have a hand in this, but not a single male or female i personally know involved in these protests, is paid by Soros. I have friends and colleagues that were there in DC and NYC yesterday. I was invited to the NYC one.

I have to agree. My liberal roommate and I (also liberal) talked about this one time. Neither of us are Trump fans. He is a big Clinton fan and supporter. But one night we turned to each other and said "of course we hear 'locker room talk' like this all of the time. Sh*t, i've heard many women say hard core sexual things about other people.

It's not to excuse trump, at all. As I said, I'm not a supporter.

It's the same platform! I was asked why now instead of eight years ago. My response was essentially that we didn't hire a pussy-grabber eight years ago. Obviously, the message needs to be announced now when it wasn't so obvious back then.

It's a reminder. Just like you might grab an umbrella when you see storm clouds approach but it might be a back-burner item to bring along if you see sunshine.

Nothing I said contradicted anything I said before. It's a simple concept to grasp, no matter how much you pretend to be confused by it.

Like I said, I've heard a hundred different reasons from people I saw interviewed through the day. Massive confusion and no consistent message.

I can't fully disagree with you on that. I only told you the official platform. Sure, there are a lot of marchers who might not be on the same literal page but they are certainly reading the same book.

It's just like any cause or movement or even political party. I still encounter republicans who think their insurance is safe because they have the ACA, not that filthy Obamacare. Yeesh...

It seems like an opportunity wasted for two reasons.

One, it became difficult for people who are not as sympathetic to the message to really understand what was going on, so it was assumed the issue was Trump. An immediate turn off because of so much propaganda and nonsense over the past 18 months.

Two, there were too many celebs and politicians there. No one trusts those people. Power and fame drive their actions.
