didnt trump WIN the woman vote?

Trump lost the popular vote. Including women.

What popular vote...you keep referring to something that has never existed as a "thing" in American history.

And the majority grew out of it at some point, well before 40.

Some did, some didn't. Point is, it happens. Trump is likely to be bragging about such things, not even because he can or did, there are likely thousands of other guys then trump who have done and did worse.

But because its just the type of guy is. Me thinks he brags about everything and himself a lot, and if somebody is talking about something he can not resist on imparting something he did as well in there even if he never did it, more for conversation and attention then anything else. I am sure by the time his presidential run is over he will come down on that impulse.

Women in this day and age and especially in America have it just as good if not more so then men. In a lot of cases they have more options to them in life and in academic life in jobs and in a lot of other places.

This whole women are oppressed and second class citizens is a myth especially in the USA. But who knows what there protesting and why on Trump being president, they are probably some months to late on it being relevant, and they are and even that link you posted was not really clear on anything.

Perhaps millions of women are consumed by a defeatist mindset. I had dinner with some African American friends yesterday. They refused to believe that Donald Trump's presidency could bring them anything of benefit. To them, his promises are only superficial..empty.

I tried to explain that President Trump has nothing to gain by making empty promises. He can go and do pretty much whatever he wants, beholden to nobody, and free from the typical traps that ensnare politicians. Yet these guys and gals shrugged their shoulders, saying that as long as white people are in charge of things (business/government) Blacks will always have it hard. I was mad and sorry for them at the same time. Giving up like that must be like hell on Earth.

Well the world need not make sense. Western women marching under the banner of somebody who helped set up those marches all for the cause of sharia law? Now that is some high hilarity there.

Though reading those tweets. I would not cry if usury was abolished, but ya pushing sharia law because it is usury free. I would say that is some cognitive dissonance, if it were not clearly a case of high hilarity. Now if we were all as rich as some in Saudi Arabia were we would not have to work a day in our life's and walk around in those cool white bedsheets, buying goldplated cars and cheetah pets just so we can crash them in the desert for fun and ride the cheetah back.

But were not that rich as a country and peoples, so its not going to happen. Though I see why the lifestyle is attractive to western women, who would not like to be given a max credit limit of 10,000 per day on shopping and other expenses. Though I do not think it would work out quite like they believe it will. After all most Muslims and those who came from countries under sharia law come here or to Europe, and they don't seem to want to go back.

You would think being such a nice place and them knowing so much and the greatness of being under sharia law that they would want to go back and enjoy all that instead of being here under all these heathen and barbaric rules. But nah! Not so much, on the going back part.

Actually the most fair way would be to allow for each person to decide for themselves. Even State by State law is still forcing some against their will to comply unless everyone in a state agrees which is highly unlikely. Allowing each person to make the choice on their own is the most fair and equal to go. It's that simple really. Which is what Pro-Choice is. It simply allows each person to choose on their own behalf. Nobody is made to do anything. Pretty simple.

To tell the truth I though women were already doing that. Those women that want to have abortions do, and those that dont, well they don't.

I see no issue with that, but if some states want it different well, as you can clearly see there are some nutty people out there. We need to get them all in one bunch in one state, so we can keep track of them. If they don't want to have abortions that's fine.

Just not to push there agenda on those that do. How else would we solve this issue of weirdos getting in other peoples business? If we do not know were they all are? It would be pretty hard or at least much to time consuming to be worth it.

But anyways it is not against the law yet to not have an abortion if one so chose to do it.

As for your excuses for how powerful men sometimes act, I think you missed what I was saying and are also assuming I'm too naive to know BS when I hear it. So I'll just dismiss most of what you said at the start of your post. No offense.

What makes you say its BS? What if he really just meant what he said? Dismiss away. But the truth is, that its true.

Right, let people choose for themselves.

I'm not too hip on rounding people up all in one state though. People can live where they want and still be able to choose for themselves what to do with themselves without bothering anyone else. No need to track anyone like cattle. It's pretty simple to not get in the middle of others business. You just don't do it. If you slip up and end up doing it, they'll probably let you know it and you can then just stop dong what you're doing.

Two lines of thought cross in most peoples minds. The thing they were brought up to believe that rich men only look out for themselves and there interests. Its in all the movies and Christmas specials. And its always the poor good guy who having been through it that finally knows and gets people to move on.

But life once again not being a story book does not work out like that. The truth is that both the rich man and the poor man are looking out for themselves and its just as likely that if somebody that came from poor upbringing made it big he would be caught up in it all and turn into the mean ol rich man.

The truth is both fail. Its why we have systems in place to keep things from going crazy. Trump said some things and promised some things, and ya he is in a position to do them. And it just may not be self service or self sacrifice that wins the day but an overwhelming feeling to be right, even a downright narcissistic craving to be right and accepted and not look like a fool for all the things you said and do.

In life given all these circumstances sometimes it is the narcissist that saves the day. But only after 4 to 6 years, after that it tends to go downhill when it really goes to his head. But ya, Trump said a lot of things about this ,and that, about how he is going to change the economy, and make America great again and a bunch of other things.

But now we shall see. That is all.

Off course its to late. people do not change, much less in such a short time span of a measles 40 years. Thats why I said "come down" implying that it will be less not stop completely.

But anyways, does it matter? If trump likes to brag about taking women to stores and ofering to buy them furniture in a ridiculous attempt to get laid, or at least an attempt at look cool in front of other dudes while there bragging and chatting on how much mochoness and how much money they have.

Who am I or any of us to bother what two grown and consenting adults get up to in there spare time? Or who they brag about it to? This would be the least of issues in the world as far as I am concerned.

I must say, I was STUNNED to see on a restaurant T.V. today (tuned to CNN), that millions of women ALL OVER THE WORLD were protesting! It's apparent that some very strong emotions, feelings, and convictions are in play. Probably dissatisfactions that have been building up for months...or years?

This article does a good job of showing the extent of global protests..
www.msn.com... ntp

But it doesn't do a good job of explaining the WHY and WHAT and WHEN. So I'm starting this thread to ask WOMEN (and Men, & "Other"), who identify with, and understand the overall protest movement, to PLEASE chime in, and personally share with the global ATS community:

1. WHY are you upset enough to take time out of your busy life to protest?

2. WHAT are you hoping to accomplish?

3. WHEN will you say, "Hey, our protesting worked! My sacrifices were worth it!"

Wow. Just.........wow.

The fact that you have to ask these questions shows just how far removed from reality you are.

Hey I don't like your attitude. Its not rounding people up when you let them just go into one state of there liking and choosing. Rounding sounds to much like harsh language. We should call it, selective reasoning propagation compulsion, SRPC ya seems accurate. I am thinking either Mississippi or Florida, probably Mississippi as Florida is kind of like a shagging capital of the south-coast. But both would be viable.

People can live where they want and still be able to choose for themselves what to do with themselves without bothering anyone else.

Ya good luck with that. people have been getting in other peoples business thinking they know better for ages. Case in point this whole ridiculous argument about abortions to begin with.

"Popular Vote" means majority of the vote, by pure numbers - before those numbers get altered to suit the rules of the Electoral College.

That is a bit of a fallacy. Each state keeps track of its own numbers for EC votes. The press or media combine them in the end only as a statistic really.

You're right..now is when it's time to get things done. Since President Trump sleeps less than 5 hours a night, he can get more done in a week than Hillary could do in a month.
